Holiday Inn Express & Suites Detroit Northwest - Livonia by IHG

The Livonia Holiday Inn Express was lovely. The room was well appointed and thought out. Charmaine did a fabulous job serving breakfast and had an amazing personality! Amy at the front desk was fabulous answering my questions as well. When I get back to that area, I will be staying there again.

We can’t say enough great things about the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Livonia! From the moment we arrived, we felt taken care of. The check-in process was quick and easy, and the front desk staff was incredibly kind and professional. Our room was spotless—some of the cleanest hotel rooms we've ever stayed in! The beds were unbelievably comfortable, and we slept so well. The hotel itself was quiet and peaceful, making it a perfect retreat after a long day. I also appreciated the little touches—free coffee, high-end toiletries, and fast Wi-Fi. This is now my go-to place whenever we're in the Detroit area.

My experience with the majority of the hotel staff was very pleasant, especially the cooks and the first set of housekeepers, and late night agent. They were welcoming and thoughtful, especially toward my nieces, who are 4 and 5 years old, and they provided toys and small gifts that made the children feel special. However, my interaction with the manager was disappointing. When I attempted to extend my stay, she became unprofessional and made false statements regarding my interaction with the staff, the condition of the rooms, and the behavior of my children ( who are very playful and active however they are toddlers and don’t pose a harm to anyone), I have photographs that clearly show the room was in good condition and do not support her claims. I believe these false reports may have

Stayed the night for a business trip. There was an unruly neighbor in another room being extremely loud and yelling all night, eventually the police came. I could not sleep overnight and struggled to stay awake during meetings and driving the next day. When I called the manager they said they could not give me any discount or refund since I had already checked out, and said they would make amends by giving me extra points. They ended up only giving me 1000 points which is like $5 in IHG credit. Which most IHG hotels just give you 500-1000 upon check in, this location did not. Stay somewhere that has security or makes true amends for issues, not this Holiday Inn Express.

Hotel is nice. Second bed in our room had mud on sheets and what appeared to be a juice stain. There's no bath tub in the bathroom. Shower only. Not a huge deal for the adults, but was disappointing for the kids.
