Customer Reviews
Great deal, great location. Our room had toilet paper in the toilet when we first checked in. The front desk was quick to change our room. Seems like the average clean jobs of average hotels. Free breakfast. Cannot beat the location. Cheaper to find parking yourself.
Nice, clean facilities at a reasonable price. It was nicer than I expected, considering how affordable it was. We were a party of two adults, and only stayed one night. We did eat at the breakfast bar provided by the hotel, and that was a good experience. The tables were wiped clean as soon as people left, so you knew you were eating at a clean table. There was a decent variety of foods- scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, sausage links, fruits, oatmeal cups, yogurt station, variety of cereals with a gluten free option, and a variety of pastries and bagels. I'm sure I missed a couple of items, but it was an overall nice selection. Beverages available included milk, orange juice, apple juice, hot water to make tea, and coffee. The food and beverages were kept at an appropriate temperature,
Positive: "" Negative: The air conditioning in the room blows right at your head. Not something that could be avoided by the fundamental design of the building. Just seems odd. also the charge for parking at $30 a day seems a little extreme for Des Moines.
We stayed w my son and a few of his friends there. The hallway reeked of marijuana. The bed pad and both sheets for the pull out comforter were stained. We paid $30 to park across the street for valet parking but it’s not valet. The elevators in the parking ramp did not let us push a button to go up. So in the cold we walked 6 levels to our car. We kept the room clean but a child threw up all over the bathroom at 1:30am. We didn’t want to bother staff so we cleaned it up the best we could, I had to use some towels, washcloths and toilet paper to do so. I then put it in a nice pile of towels in the corner of the room. After we left they charged us $50 because of the towels. Even though we made them aware of the marijuana , guess I should have called them up to clean vomit so I didn’t get ch
Staff was good and helpful. The rooms were average. Bathrooms were neat, but the bed was uncomfortable, we only stayed there for a night and the bed didn’t make it any pleasant. It was making too many sounds. But overall okay. Location was very convenient from the highwa.
