Area doesn't give a safe feeling. This property does business with a listing as HTL 587, an Ascend Hotel Collection member but trust me, it's just a motel 6. Staffs are unresponsive and equipment in the unit doesn't work such as hair dryer. They didn't give us any shampoo or conditioner, which are normally given in other motel 6. Area is not so good so please reconsider before booking and it's not a HTL 587, an Ascend Hotel Collection member.

First let me start by saying that the 2 guys at the front desk were amazing and very accommodating. I arrived early and they took care of me and my early arrival with no problems! The location is close to everything! The bed is really comfy and the room has a very nice cute charm to it. My room was clean and didn't smell at all. There are a lot of homeless people outside but they don't bother you at all unless they're walking by saying hi or have a good day. The only issue I had was I didn't have a TV remote in my room (people will steal anything nowadays.) I went to the desk and they asked what brand TV and kindly apologized and handed me a remote and told me if it didn't work just call down and they will send another one up to me. I don't understand how it's only a 2 star hotel I could

I saw one of the reviews that this place is a hidden gem around the street and yes, it's proven! I am surprised how beautiful this hotel is. It is clean and looks newly renovated. I love the interior designs and it's my first time using an old style elevator that I thought I will just only see in movies. The building is old but it is well maintained. Some problems like the phone in our room don't work and a cobweb by the bathroom. They have a big smart TV in the room too. Just be aware that It is also loud outside as I understand that the street is busy even late at night. Overall, we are still very happy during our stay. It shouldn't be a 2-star hotel but I think it will pass a 3 or 4 star hotel. And almost forgot to mention that it is worth our bulks! Very affordable for a great hotel!

I had a quick stop in San Francisco to do the Alcatraz night tour & penny arcade w/ my kids. Picked this hotel since it was fairly close to those spots & the price was unbeatable. I had low expectations based on the price but the hotel was excellent considering the price. Room was clean. Building was quiet. Staff was very nice. The location does have A LOT (A LOT) of open drug use and homelessness outside. However, the garage across the street attached to Hotel Cavo offers 24/7 secured, valet parking for 35$. My car was filled w/ camping gear & they kept everything safe. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this, even if you’re traveling w/ kids & just need a place to sleep. I’d just recommend parking your car in the garage before dark & Uber from the hotel.

We stayed in two different rooms here. The first room had a couple of exposed wires. The floors were sticky. There was a used plastic fork on the floor. The bed and pillows were super comfortable. There were also cockroaches. We found three in the first room and got moved to another room on a different floor. This room was nicer. It was cleaner. There were no exposed wires. However we found another cockroach. We decided to check out and go to a different hotel. The management really did their best. We told them it was dirty and when we came back it smelled like bleach, they relocated us after the first room, and the did refund me with no problems. The location is a little rough, but it was close to a lot of things including bus and bart stations. So I mean, it's basically what you get for
