Vibrant and welcoming entry up a flight of elegant wood trim stairs. A stark contrast to the front desk staff. We waited first for her to arrive and then even longer for her to figure out the reservation. And then we arrived to our room, the maid mentioned in Spanish that she while she bleaches that bathroom, smells to make sure the bedding doesn't stink. I don't know if she was kidding. The bathroom was indeed pristine. The bed was surprisingly comfortable. The decor was cute. There were holes in the wall and chipped paint, but not enough to detract from the overall appeal of the place. At check out, the same front desk lady was way more pleasant. Over the phone, she was a pain about late check out, but nice, for once when we turned in our key. Also, FYI the window at check in may smell l

The hallway doors stay open all day and night. People often smoke near them. Smoke wafts into the room through the cracks in the door frame. It is cold most nights. Thankfully they will provide blankets. There is a receptionist but they are rarely available. The maids clean only upon request. I have found my room door open several times. I came back after a short run to grab food to find a maid standing near by telling me my room door was "left open". Recently two I phone 11 pros were stolen out of my room and when I asked the management to allow me to view surveillance they did not cooperate. Stay home.

Love the location, but decor is extremely dated. Funky building with multiple stairways. Reception area is a small window, which leads to the family home of the caretaker. Children were watching TV on the computer when I walked up and I was not acknowledged for minutes, until an adult happened to walk through the office. Middle Eastern cooking (which I love) being prepared in the caretaker's kitchen produced an overwhelming smell that lingered for most of the day and night. When I returned to the window later to ask a question, I wasn't lucky enough for anyone to walk through the room and I eventually left. ||||It really is a low budget hotel and should be viewed as such, although the price for each night I stayed was an unbelievable $200+ (I did not make the arrangements). I almost gave i

We arrived at the hotel and took us 30 minutes to check in, in which time we had very heated discussions with the owners about what we were being charged. We had an extra person to the original booking and was a nightmare to sort. For one she couldn't find the booking! Eventually I had to go and show her on the computer. After they had bothered to come out of the back we finally got into our room. The rooms were basic and clean but had a very bad smell. It was weirdly warm in SF during our trip and due to there being NO air conditioning, it meant for very warm nights. So hot one night none of us could sleep. We did receive a fan on the last night from the cleaner. There is no breakfast, no vending machines or ways of getting a drink whilst your in the hotel. The rooms were not even cleaned

I'd give this place a 2 star. Most of the staff are very rude. They constantly were questioning what room I was in the whole time I stayed there. They don't clean the rooms during your stay and the towels are thin and stained. The carpet is very dirty and the curtains do not block out any light. It's overwhelmingly hot during warm weather and there is no air conditioning. When it's cold, the heater works half the time. The only redeeming qualities are that it's quiet and bug free and the room was a good size. If it weren't for these reasons, I'd give it a 1 star.
