Hotel Nikko San Francisco

Absolutely beautiful hotel. We were only here for a night, but we’d love to come back again. First off, the lobby smells amazing. As soon as you step inside, you get a big whiff of a pleasant, fresh aroma. I love that! ||||Our room was a Deluxe King, and it was clean and in impeccable condition. Very comfortable bed and fantastic shower. All staff were incredibly polite and helpful. I would love to return again!

Hotel Nikko is conveniently situated in one of the most desirable locations in San Francisco. The rooms are relatively compact, even the king room we occupied was somewhat cramped. This is likely the standard practice in other hotels within the city, unless guests are prepared to pay a significantly higher premium. The front desk staff was attentive and accommodating, promptly fulfilling our requests. Housekeeping was prompt and provided us with clean towels upon our request. While a refrigerator was not provided by default, it was readily available upon our request. Similarly, a microwave oven was not included. The location is perfect, easy to get access to shopping malls, eating places, cable car, etc. The room is very nice and clean and we were lucky to get the corner room as well. Warm and welcoming staff. We will definitely come back.

We were about to report a truly wonderful experience at this hotel until we dealt with room service. For being a four star hotel, you have to do these things with trust and respect to your customers, so I’ll write the situation. It seems trivial, but it was not acceptable for the caliber of a hotel. We called into Room service, unknowing of any fees whatsoever, and asked simply for two breakfast items: oatmeal. I hadn’t even seen the menu, I just wondered if they had oatmeal. The person said “the cost on your menu is 17 dollars”. Therefore, they stated the cost. If a customer asks you how much something costs, you tell them: sir, it’ll be 17 dollars plus your room service fee, etc. We were not told of this. Furthermore, we asked for a simple adjustment. For one to be made with soy milk.

I stayed at Hotel Nikko San Francisco for a work offsite and had a good experience overall. The staff were excellent, extremely polite, professional, and helpful. The conference rooms and on-site meeting support were outstanding, making it a strong option for corporate meetings and offsites. Beds and pillows struck a comfortable balance between plush and firm. The room and bathroom were spacious, very clean, and the Wi-Fi was strong and reliable for work. Robe and slippers provided. Room service was also quite good. A few minor, picky downsides: toiletries were more limited than at comparable hotels, the room view was minimal, the robe was stiff, there were no extra blankets in the room, and the coffee was not great, though I may not have found the best option in the hotel. Overall, Hot
