Hotel Griffon

Very happy for the price. It's not a new building but I think it's been tastefully updated for what it is. I only stayed for a night but the room was clean, bed was soft, and it had the standard amenities. Sure my room was small and my interior window view was a little grim, but the room was a great value and the location was phenomenal. I only wish I had time to eat at Perry's and explore the ferry building more. I wish they had some type of parking, but I found a spot at 4 Embarcadero for $45 a day which isn't bad and I just down the street.

The location is excellent.The reception is very kind and helpful.The hotel provides free coffee, tea and pastries in the morning.During my four nights stay, just one unfortunate incident was the elevator was out of order on the night before the thanksgiving day.Apart, strongly recommend the hotel if you want to stay near the piers and bridges.

The location of this hotel is very convenient, is a short walk to the Ferry building.The hotel’s staff was super nice and friendly, they are very hard workers.The staff responded quickly to any accommodations and needs I had to make my stay comfortable. Specials thanks to Juan who made the necessary changes to my reservation. Santos, Elena and the Front desk staff were wonderful. I will definitely will be coming back.

Amazing staff, my boy Sammy got us checked in faster than I could figure out how to pronounce the name of this fine establishment. Clean room, amazing food downstairs and right across from the ferry service. All around the big G was the best hotel for my girlfriend and I to spend our one night stay in San Fran. Highly recommend!

Your experience at this hotel will vary significantly depending on the room you are in. I was initially placed in an interior room that was awful (401). Dingy, old furniture, slanted floor, soft mattress. After some negotiation, the staff kindly moved me to an exterior room that was properly furnished, with a decent bed. Beware hidden fees. They charge an amenity fee and attempted to upset just to get me into a room that was serviceable. The Harbor Court next door is far nicer.
