⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We stayed here for my fiancée’s birthday, and I can honestly say this hotel is what made our entire trip so special. From the very beginning, they were incredibly easy to get ahold of and so helpful with any questions we had. Every interaction felt genuine and thoughtful. When we arrived, the check-in experience was seamless, but more importantly, the staff made us feel like family, like true VIPs. We have never been treated the way we were treated here anywhere else. Here on a business trip and it seemed nice at first until the flaws started to show. The restraunt was closed for repairs so no breakfast in the mornings lunch in the evenings or room service for dinner. There was no microwave in the room. To add it you have to pay $15. And when you run out of the 2 waters in the room to ask for more they charge you. The 2 elevators are old and very rusty, was scared to use them. In one of them the light was out and the button didnt light up. So we used the stairs when we could. A plus for it was the market food nearby. About a 2 minute walk. The staff was rude when you request for certain things like more water for the coffee..

Outstanding Art Deco hotel located in the heart of Silicon Valley/ Downtown San Jose. Staff are customer service driven and consistently accommodating and professional. For guests who have pets , hotel is extremely pet friendly. New ownership seems to be dedicated to making this iconic hotel a crown jewel for San Jose and all of Silicon Valley. If anyone is looking for a storybook wedding reception this would be perfect ,non cookie cutter , spot . DeAnza Hotel has the perfect blend of romance , history and charm. Highly recommended....

As someone who travels frequently for work and spends most of the month in hotels, I can honestly say this was one of the worst experiences I’ve had, mainly due to poor guest service. I arrived shortly before 2 PM to check in and was assisted by an employee named Myra Hernandez, who informed me that check in time was 4 PM and that I’d need to pay a $50 early check in fee before tax. I explained that, as a frequent traveler, most hotels accommodate early check in without extra charges especially when the property isn’t busy and I’ve never been charged for checking in at 2 PM. Although it seemed we reached an understanding and the fee wouldn’t be applied, I later discovered it had been charged anyway. This felt misleading and left a very poor impression. The staff here are truly great—friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout the stay. Unfortunately, the beds are horrible and incredibly uncomfortable, so be prepared to wake up with a backache. It really takes away from what could be a good experience. Also note that there is a $75 charge for pets, which isn’t always made clear ahead of time. Another thing to know: there is no on-site parking. You’ll need to park over by San Pedro Square and walk back, which isn’t too bad but still inconvenient. Overall, amazing staff but major issues with comfort and logistics.
