Hotel Commonwealth

I’m not usually one to make reviews such as this but if there is a chance this could be of any constructive criticism or benefit, great! My grandparents and I found this hotel to be not very accommodating, accessible, or inclusive. Maybe the hotel’s leadership is under the impression that anyone staying happens to have a plethora of money to spend on a $30 breakfast sandwich, or the ability to go across the street and navigate alone to find a quick snack, or maybe even have the energy to go up and down the elevator system to ask for ice for it to have be be brought up 20 minutes later. I say this because we were visiting for a weekend wedding trip and staying in the block provided to us. My grandpa is in recovery from a knee replacement surgery and the travel was very difficult on him, h

We were greeted warmly, given an opportunity to check in early and were given an upgraded room. The room was clean and fresh and we had an incredible sleep! And a view of the famous CITGO sign! All hotel personnel are friendly and helpful. We even asked for the make of the mattress. Thanks to all.

Positive: Location Negative: Staff was rude when we reported an intense paint/gasoline smell. We were not offered a new room we had to eventually ask for one once our headaches were too bad. Both rooms had a musty odor. First room had slow drains and broken/missing towel holders

This was our first time staying at Hotel Commonwealth and what an unbelievable experience from arrival to departure and everything in between. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by one of the friendliest doormen you will ever meet. He was so pleasant and welcoming, you knew the service here was going to be tremendous. Steve assisted with our luggage and then showed us to the lobby for us to check in. This was another great experience for us. We walked up to front desk and were immediately greeted by one of the nicest gentleman you will ever come across. His name was Nick and his energy and personality did not disappoint. I recently stayed at Hotel Commonwealth and I can honestly say it is by far one of the most beautiful hotels we have ever stayed at. From the moment we walked in, everything felt elegant, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed. The rooms were absolutely stunning — spacious, spotless, and so comfortable. I especially loved the little touches that made our stay feel extra special, like the reusable water bottles they give out to guests. It’s such a thoughtful and eco-friendly perk! The free snacks during check-in were another pleasant surprise and such a warm way to welcome guests after traveling. Every detail felt intentional, and the overall experience was truly top-tier. We will absolutely be back — this hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. Highly recommend!
