We enjoyed our stay here. It is wonderfully located and it was very clean. The staff was super helpful at all hours. It is quite secure as you need to scan your card before getting into the building itself. You need to do the same to leave so it is safe. Rooms could use a bit of updating but it wasn`t as if it looked or smelled "old", just a bit dated with some color choices but all very good condition. Art deco style hotel throughout. Beds were super comfy which is such a plus.

5 stars for the staff and location, 4 stars for the physical building. Every employee was so friendly and accommodating. The hotel was perfectly located for everything we were doing that weekend- walking distance from SAP, convenient to the highway, very easy to navigate from/to, even thought I had never been to San Jose before. Lots of dining and bar options within walking distance. Parking was included in the room rate, which was a huge perk. An older hotel, but with all the benefits therein- light breakfast in the morning, coffee and minibar in the room, cable TV, trial-size soaps and plenty of towels. Room was clean. But also some of the negatives of an older building— the walls are thin. No noise from neighboring rooms, but we could hear every hallway conversation. Also, the window

Booked this hotel for a concert at the SAP center. The location isn’t too far from it which is great. The area overall past the San Pedro market is kinda sketchy. You have to call the hotel for them to unlock the door to check in. Overall, the hotel was ok. I had asked for extra towels but didn’t get any. Bring your own amenities if you can help it. They provide a small tube of shampoo and a small bottle of body wash (which was already half empty) and that’s it. No hand soap or any of the extra little amenities we’re used to having. The tissues box in the bathroom was damp, which I’m assuming is from the steam from showers before. They have free WiFi, but it’s atrociously slow and really only works downstairs, you’re better off using your own data. If you just need a place to sleep while y

This heritage property is friendly, charming and comfortable. Built in 1913, it offers clean, well-furnished rooms and polished public spaces with a vintage personality. It's rated a 2* hotel but sure didn't feel like it. We found it welcoming and enjoyed our stay.||Our room was well-furnished, with microwave, fridge with two free bottles of water, a Keurig coffee maker and a folding luggage stand. The mini-bar prices are guest-friendly: just one dollar for M&Ms, Pringles, energy bars, cookies, candy and canned soft drinks.||We heard zero noise from busy Santa Clara Street in our 4th floor rear room, and none from other rooms either - not with two feet of concrete between floors, according to the friendly manager. The free-standing heater/air conditioner was a bit noisy, but not enough to

I highly recommend this hotel! I made my reservation for three nights at the last minute, and they were very accommodating, honoring my request for a room on the highest floor available, with a view of downtown. The concierge and staff were all friendly and professional, and my room was much larger than I expected, and was spotless. I must give a heartfelt shoutout to Tina! She went above and beyond for me when I unexpectedly needed to extend my stay for another three nights, due to an accidental fall I’d taken that resulted in a substantial injury, that required several stitches in my head, and 72-hours of bed rest per doctor’s orders. She was very kind and attentive, and checked in with me to make sure that all of my needs were met each day. The mini-fridge was well stocked with two fre
