Customer Reviews
Excellent location. Walking distance from walking tours and museums. Excellent service. Khadija went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable and provided extra supplies every day of the entire week of our stay. And Chris is seriously the most efficient maintenance guy ever. Thanks for making our stay so comfortable. We'll see you soon again ❤️
The location of this hotel is what makes it amazing. 15 minute walk to the North End, a stroll through the Commons to get to BackBay, its literally in the middle of everything. The rooms are small but well decorated and smartly set up. There was a touch of confusion on getting into our room, but it was fine and the staff presented us with a gift for our grief. But where this hotel really shines is the staff. Nabil the Bell Hop was great, very accommodating. Our Breakfast waiter, Binod was amazing. He played bartender and waiter and could still make a mean Bloody Mary. At night, Rebecca was behind the main bar. Absolutely fantastic bartender. Not only would she make GREAT drinks but she single handedly kept us entertained all night, every night of our stay. She has excellent kno
I stayed at AKA Boston Common for 49 days (11/3–12/22, Room 808), so this review reflects a long-term experience rather than a single bad incident.||On the surface, this hotel presents as polished and upscale, but over time it became clear that it is a full-on Monet—looks good at a glance, but the closer you get, the more issues appear.||During my stay, I was required to move rooms three times—once voluntarily after an upgrade, and twice due to serious maintenance issues, including a sprinkler-system flood. In subsequent rooms, I experienced repeated heating failures, inconsistent hot water, and even a shower head detaching during use.||The heating issues were ongoing and never fully resolved. On multiple occasions, my room dropped to 66–67 degrees despite the thermostat being set to 80. E
Spacious room with 2 queen beds good for 4 adults. Excellent location and very good service, with daily complimentary coffee and wine at the lobby. The only area to improve is water coming out from the shower a bit weak.
The hotel itself was really nice and in a great location. While there were a few hiccups during my stay, the staff was incredibly kind and genuinely worked hard to make things right. I really appreciated their efforts and professionalism. Special shout-out to Max, Sherley, and Nate for going above and beyond. Their customer service made a big difference and turned the experience into a positive one overall.
