Homestead Motel

Not only are the rooms DESPERATELY in need of updating, they aren't cleaned properly between guests and then the guy in the office will try to keep your deposit to add insult to injury, claiming he needs it to get the carpets deep cleaned. I was wearing pale grey socks the first night, and they were black with dirt when I went to bed. Gross! The paint has clearly been gone over dozens of times; it's thick, peeling, and bubbled. The toilet is straight out the a kindergarten restroom from the 70s, ran nonstop an the outlet above the sink (directly above the sink!) had exposed wiring. The shower is the size of a litter box and filthy with mildew. Walls and paintwork have never be cleaned in years. Could only get a trickle of water from the wash basin. (I was told there must be blockage). Only one light bulb above the mirror where there should have been three. No hot water for a shower. (Was told I was turning the tap too far in the hot position). On reflection, I am glad I didn't shower. It was filthy. Fridge had never been cleaned, brown liquid stains everywhere, no shelving and rusty. Inclusive breakfast?? A coffee and a cinnamon bun. I paid £77 for the room which was the average during a 21 day stay in the USA. Had it been the lowest price, I wouldn't have has as much cause to complain.||My thanks to the American people and American scenery for yet another enjoyable vacation.

Not even worth 1 star!!! Worst motel I've ever been to. Infested with roaches, it was so dirty. The room hasn't been vacuumed or wiped down in weeks it looked like Mold in the bathroom. Roaches everywhere. I was refunded after I threw a fit and threatened to complain to health department. (I'm still going to report this motel). Not suitable for anyone. I'm totally discussed.

This is not a very modern hotel if that is what your looking for, think 1960s sheek. It has old carpet, holes in the walls and doors, old musky curtains, and 30-year old AC. Our room had no towels or other amenities when we showed up, had no hot water in shower, and smell coming from AC unit. There was ample parking available, but the rates were way too high for rooms provided. The pool is paved over. There is only comforter (smelly), and the pillows had property of County Hospital printed on all of them. I do not recommend this hotel.

Our room was so dirty. The carpet was disgusting, there was fingerprints and dirt all over the walls. We didn't even take a shower because the shower was so filthy. My mattress had a huge cut in it. Someone kept smoking all night and blowing it in our window. A lot of shady people hanging around the hotel. We did not feel safe! Worst place we've ever stayed in town!
