We wanted to update our review unfortunately could not do that so we are doing a new one. We had the pleasure of staying here Nov 21. Ramona helped us with all of our questions and went above to help us even get our room ready for Nov 29th which we had to cancel due to weather. When we canceled we knew we would be charged but we had put the statement that we felt it was not right that statement was meant for corporate. In no way was it directed to this location or the staff because this location and staff have always been amazing. On our long drive back to Indiana yesterday we received a call from Mr Keenan called and was so kind and stated we would not be charged due to the weather and even told us to be safe traveling back home. The rooms are nice and clean but the AC which is a unit under the window is extremely loud. It also shuts off in the middle of the night. I have stayed here twice in different rooms and could not sleep because it would get so hot. The window doesn’t open so you can’t get relief there. I believe it is motion sensing so at night it shuts off if you don’t move. Unfortunate as this hotel would be nice otherwise, but literally cannot sleep so can’t stay here anymore

I'm not sure why this hotel has gotten so many negative reviews. I stayed there two days ago and the hotel was lovely. The lobby was beautiful with multiple different areas to hang out. The check-in employee was very kind and made pleasant conversation. There was a peloton in the workout room. The rooms themselves were very clean with plenty of space a full table etc. The coffee was good and the breakfast was also well stocked, fresh, and good. My co-worker and I took a chance and we would stay again no question.

One of the Best Hotels You’ll Find in Ankeny, Iowa! Our group from the City of Atlanta’s Department of Recreation (61 of us!) stayed at the Home2 Suites in Ankeny for the National Senior Games (55 and over), and I can honestly say — this hotel is top tier in every way. Very mediocre experience at this hotel in my honest opinion. I’m pretty much a Hilton group loyalist and travel a good bit for work, and this stay was not up to standard. Arrived an hour before check in and our room was not ready for early check in, understandable during a busy hotel weekend in Des Moines but a bit disappointing nonetheless. Our room was clean enough, and the AC was cold, but the bathroom was a bit of a disaster. The toilet paper holder was busted, as was the bathroom faucet. In the morning, we discovered that the shampoo and conditioner bottles (big wall mount bottles) were both completely empty. We washed our hair with body wash to get us by for our one-night-stay.
