Holiday Inn & Suites Marlborough by IHG

I had a clean room and a comfortable bed. Had a great night sleep. If you go down the road there is a beautiful view of the lake and there is a burger place near by with patio seating to view the lake. Breakfast in the restaurant was your typical eggs/sausage/waffle buffet setup and was clean and fresh. I would definitely stay here again.

We were in the area on business and discovered the Marlboro IHG online. It was right on our way and very convenient to access from our route. After an initial snafu with our reservation, which the young lady at the front desk assisted us with, we made our way to our room. We'd had a very long day between travel and business, in short, my Wife and I were exhausted. We were very pleasantly surprised at how truly nice the room/suite was. Very clean, with comfortable furniture and one of the most comfortable beds we've ever experienced in any hotel room. We were disappointed the restaurant and lounge weren't open, but understand the staffing challenges of our post Covid world. Had a very nice experience staying here to spectate the Boston Marathon. It is a short drive to Boston or nearby stops on the commuter rail, if you'd prefer not to drive into the city. The hotel is clean, comfortable, safe, and has ample parking. Staff were very kind and helpful when I interacted with them. Friends had good experiences using the fitness center and indoor pool; while I didn't do this myself, I didn't hear any complaints from them. My main critique is that the rooms need some attention/repairs - the bathtub in my room was badly peeling, the toilet only flushed if you held down the handle, one of the headboards was peeling, the bathtub drain was very slow. None of these had a negative impact on my stay and I was still very comfortable, and the room was very clean regardless,

The room was a decent size and the beds were comfortable . The room temp was inconsistent and the fans were loud. The bathroom toilet was constantly running and the shower smelled like mold. We only encountered the staff upon arrival and they were pleasant. We ordered the breakfast “covid to-go style” but never received them. Overall cleanliness was pretty good despite the renovations going on.

I have been staying at this hotel for a few years for business. I always loved the friendliness of the staff and the comfort. Things have changed, but people were still friendly. When I checked in at the front desk on November 2nd, the man who is usually there, always dressed in a suit and so nice, wasn't there. The young woman who was there, I cannot say she greeted me gave me my room number, on the first floor. My profile says I prefer the upper floors, but I accepted it. She was less than polite about it. She then gave me my breakfast coupons, and told me don't lose them because I wouldn't get any more, quite sternly. I went to my room and it was awful.
