If I could give zero stars, I would. This was the worst hotel experience ever. My friend booked this hotel while visiting us in Ann Arbor. Tragically, her brother passed away three days before her arrival. She called the hotel two days before check-in to cancel, and they told her she had to do it through Booking.com. She canceled it there, but never received a refund - and she had paid almost $600 per day. She called the hotel repeatedly after not receiving her refund, and every time the reception staff gave excuses: the manager was sick, off for the day, or had just left. My friend and I kept trying, and when I finally spoke with the manager, I was told there was “no show” in the system and that they couldn’t refund her. Amazing location that is within 8 mins of U of M. The rooms are nice, spacious, and clean. Parking on site is easy and plenty of spots available. There is bar area and breakfast available (paid breakfast) in the bar/lobby area.

I booked a room for my family (2 young kids included) over Thanksgiving and through the weekend for the Michigan Ohio state game. Our plans later changed and I called the day I changed my flight to make sure I could keep my hotel reservation knowing I wouldn’t be there for a few days. I was told yes. I called again the Monday before our stay and again reminded them I wouldn’t be there the original date, but instead Friday. Don’t give away our room. I was told it was noted and all would be fine. Show up, no room, the guy tells me it’s weird I didn’t get a call or email. I rechecked, no call no email. They assured me I’d get my points back. I don’t want points, I want my room. He said he could contact his manager but she would say the same thing. Their hands are tied. I said call anyway, he

The staff were friendly from the start. However, the cleaning staff neglected to clean my rooms for more than half the days of my five night stay, without the do not disturb sign on. I had to leave trash outside my room daily after coming back to my room when I discovered it hadn’t been cleaned. I had to call daily to request new towels. When they did clean, they didn’t even leave enough towels for the number of guests staying in the room. Additionally, when they did clean the room/make the bed, they neglected to put on a flat sheet on one of the beds. When I brought this to the attention of the front desk, they provided me with linens and offered to give me additional reward points. However, I never received the reward points.

We walk into the room to find the ac broken and a loud fan as the replacement. The next day they moved us to a new room where the entire room smelled horrid. It smelled of feces and it kept my family up. They had no blankets and when I went down to get some they only had one. Charged us $13 per plate of food for breakfast and had no food left in the buffet. Worst hotel I have ever been to, do not book.
