AC Hotel Ann Arbor Downtown

This review is for the bar: We had a fantastic experience at the bar! Ian and Casey were fantastic. Ian explained the drinks well and really took my preferences into account when asking for recommendations. He also shared some fun drinkware history we loved learning! You can tell each drink was made with care. We also loved speaking with Casey and will be coming back shortly to try some more drinks. I loved my two drinks today: the Shared Waters Milk Punch and Grandma's Gettin' Sauced - both were fun and delicious. You can tell the staff truly care about the patron experience and that they have passion for what they do!

My new favorite hotel in Ann Arbor. I’m in Ann Arbor pretty regularly and have always had a hard time finding a downtown spot that I actually look forward to staying in. This new AC Hotel finally nails it. The rooms feel clean and thoughtfully designed without trying too hard. The staff is genuinely friendly and the bar surprised me it's so good, whoever curates their bourbon list knows what they’re doing. It’s an easy walk to a bunch of great restaurants, and the lobby is one of those rare spaces that actually works for grabbing a drink with friends or having a casual meeting. I’ll definitely be back.

What a fantastic new hotel that is so much more than just a place to sleep. This recently-opened property is already running well and the quality is punctuated by an elite experience at the cocktail bar and restaurant onsite. The bartenders are excellent and highly professional—Casey and Ian as I recall. The drink program is top notch and one of the best in a city in need of some quality places to grab a few drinks. Great conversation and good vibes really differentiate the good from the great.

This brand new hotel only JUST opened so the place feels just sparkly new and welcoming, though I write primarily about my experience with their bar team, Casey and Ian. I recommend you hit the bar even if you're not staying at the hotel. The place is somewhat quiet as the hotel is new, but clearly the bartenders are mixology masters and we chit chatted about some of the national competitions Casey competed in as a professional bartender. It was fun to hear about their behind-the-scenes tireless efforts to prepare to get ready for the hotel's grand opening. Hilarious conversation and amazing drinks (even for someone like me who doesn't normally enjoy drinking that much). Can’t speak to the hotel (although it looked nice and clean), but the AC Lounge Bar was fantastic. Casey and Ian were friendly, knowledgeable, and spot on with their recommendations. We had Smokey Old Fashioned’s which were excellent. Enjoyed a generous portion of the patatas with aioli sauce and the hummus was seasoned beautifully with the perfect amount of lemon and oil.
