Hilton Garden Inn Ann Arbor

Excellent experience at this beautiful Hilton Garden Inn, from start to finish! I was so impressed from the moment I walked in. The lobby and the restaurant were very welcoming and inviting. When I got to the front desk the staff were definitely well trained in providing exceptional customer service! I had just left a Hampton hotel in Okemos Michigan with a disastrous experience, so this was such a great change for the better. Georgia, at the front desk, who had a million dollar smile, could not have been any more friendly. What a special greeting to make you feel so welcomed. Also, Alexander was an amazing person with a tremendously infectious personality and smile! He could not have been any more friendly and professional. Positive: The room was very clean! The staff were amazing and accommodating. We will definitely stay here again! 10/10 recommend. The kid pool was everything!!!!!! We could sit and relax while the kids had a blast! Very nice areas to sit, read and have a beverage. Negative: ""

Honestly for the price. Take it from someone who travels 85+ days a year with Hiltons 1- breakfast is charged…. And honestly is crap and shouldn’t be charged $23 .00 for crap eggs, room temp potato’s.. or $10 for cold breakfast😂 get in your car and go somewhere else. 2- renovation’s happening outside every elevator bank ( nothing said on app or prior to check in ) see picture attached. Also the gym had a quarter of it ripped up and missing. Just exposed renovation to trip on and fall over. 3- The charge $1 for water. But you can get free water working out in the gym? 😂 4- rooms and bathrooms dated. 5- Every channel on the tv didn’t work besides maybe 7-10 of them 😂 Upside, the place is decently looked after by room staff. That’s about it. Go to the home 2 suites, way better for a Hilto

The rooms were a fine size but everything is dated/worn. The pillows are two different lengths but the bed was comfortable. There were a lot of fleeting, strong smells in the hotel- Lysol, faint stale cigarettes in the linens, bile in the lobby- all things that were cleaned but lingering in scent. The snack & merch shop isn’t really helpful but there is a CVS a short drive away if you forgot anything. There are tons of restaurants and cute shops a 12 minute drive north, closer to the Hilton Graduate location. We thought this location would be quieter but it was noisy at night and in the morning with children’s voices and exasperated parents. The pool, laundry, and fitness facilities were working and looked to be well maintained. The breakfast looked bland for the price they were chargin

I am staying here now while visiting my daughter at U-M. It is incredibly loud, screaming kids, doors constantly slamming and it sounds like a there’s a party taking place all around. It could be a bad night, but today it seems like folks booked rooms to have their child’s bday party at the pool and it spilled over into their rooms. The elevator reeked of pot. And housekeeping starts knocking early. Not sure what the hotel can do about noisy guests but if you value sleep pick another place because you won’t get any here. On the plus side, the pillows are comfy.
