Holiday Inn Florence by IHG

I have been here for quite some time and I stay here instead of anywhere else for a lot of different reasons, the main one is the staff. Everybody is super friendly!! Whenever I come in the door i am greeted by staff. If I need anything they are accommodating. I am talking about front desk and the housekeeper. I love the 3rd floor housekeeper I wish I could tell u her name..I really like Tierra ( if thats how u spell it ) on 1st shift. She's been great from day one. We always chat for a min when she is on duty. The place is clean, quiet, and convenient to many things. They have a restaurant in the lobby that is open for breakfast and dinner. It’s on the approach to the airport, so noisy. There are no stairs from the lobby or elsewhere inside. If you use the stairs there is only one exterior entrance (two exterior exits) then you walk around the building to enter the lobby (or vice versa). They charge $15 for a breakfast that most hotels provide. Same basic stuff- scrambled eggs (cold), sausage links (also cold), bacon, toast, coffee, etc. C’mon Holiday Inn! Seriously?! $15? And the evening desk clerk was not very hospitable. The room was clean and comfortable, so there is that.

I absolutely loved that the moment I arrived I was immediately greeted and thanked for my diamond elite status by McKenzie at the front desk. She went above and beyond with her kindness, desire to accommodate our needs as guests, and was a sweetheart. The property was clean, quiet, the rooms were fabulous, I recommend this location without hesitation! The staff at breakfast were also very sweet, and we love having the availability of healthy choices of food to enjoy for breakfast. We will be back!

We stayed there last weekend during a snow storm. Checking in the Manager Linda was very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. Sunday the breakfast waitress was less than nice and the clerk checking out didn’t say thanks or offer a bill to us. It was strange that Saturday was so nice and Sunday was so rude.

I’ve frequently stayed with IHG hotel groups and have had accommodations made due to the times that I travel (day cab trucker) also I’m going to apologize for this run on paragraph ahead of time. So I called this location around 2am and I got someone from overseas, so I had to go through a middle man for service, after explaining why I wanted to check in at that time she put me on hold and came back and said they would have to charge me double the rate and I still would have to check out at 11am. If any of you know the truckers clock we have to stop for at least 10 hours before we can drive again. They told me they couldn’t pro rate nor accommodate me.
