Holiday Inn Express & Suites York NE - Market Street by IHG

The staff are super friendly! Everyone Front desk, cleaners, maintenance they all had a smile and a willingness to help. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms were clean. The breakfast was top notch. It had a large variety of choices and everything was very fresh. We love the location. It's close enough to Lancaster, Strausburg and Hershey without having to deal with the big crowds and for substantially less per night. We look forward to staying there again.

Tried to check in early at the front desk but not allowed. The young girl there was not overly friendly. Front desk is first point of contact and they should work on that aspect. Came back and found room to be just average. Looks like it needs some updating. The pool was under renovation. The next morning we went to breakfast about 9:30 a.m. They close at 10:00 a.m. The eggs were all gone. The meats were sparse and pancake machine didn't work. Probably because of the time we were there. Breakfast less than expected. The cinnamon rolls were good. Ran out of tissues in the room so asked the housekeeper in the hallway for more. She was very nice with a smile on her face. Also, the woman cleaning the kitchen area was great when asking her if I could fill my water bottle. Very friendly! Might t

My family and I stayed one night at this facility. I was told it has been under new ownership which is fine. I purchased a king suit with a pull out coach. Never ever had any issues with beds bedding or room accommodations in past hotels. There was no bedding or mattress for the pull out. I had to go down twice to fix this. Everything was very dated. Elevator was very dated. Pool had many tiles missing. It was to be a heated pool. It was not. I do not think they properly clean/filter the pool. My child did swim for 10 minutes before it was too much. I’d rather them close the pool than have it open at that state. Things were clean but that was it. Sleeping was hard due to very thin walls. The hotel is getting an extensive remodel. My room was huge. Everything was clean but the carpet and the furniture was warn. I expect this will be upgraded too. I had a few questions and need help when I was there and Joe was absolutely amazing. They seem to be working towards improving.

First the three most important aspects of a stay: It’s clean, it’s mostly quiet, HVAC is mostly controllable. My only major complaint is the staff will wake you up with a LOT of banging and yelling and laughing by 8/830. My job requires me to work with a lot of folks who are not in our timezone. Being woken up three hours after I laid down and learning it is not by inconsiderate guests is particularly frustrating. I don’t know if the banging comes from loading their carts, cleaning, I dont know. I know the yelling is because one will be at the end of the supply closet or the hallway and they’ll yell at each other and giggle. I stayed here probably ten days out of the last fourteen and this was a consistent experience. Joseph and Nick were exceptionally courteous and helpful. I didn’t deal
