Holiday Inn Express & Suites San Jose – Silicon Valley by IHG

Our family and the kids grandparents stayed here for 4 nights. We both booked separately one directly and one third party and check in was easy and fast! Parking is $10 a night. The complimentary hot breakfast was so convenient, the kids had options to choose from and was a great start to each day. It was fairly quiet but you can hear outside road noise. The doors slam shut, which was kind of loud but it didn't bother us. The beds were nice, not too hard and not too soft. The rooms were really cold and the curtains were great at keeping the room dark. The front desk was always nice, and housekeeping was upon request only. Clean, modern hotel close to much of San Jose’s “things to do.” Pros: clean lobby and rooms, room size is nice and layout is pleasant. Non Smoking property. Under hotel well lit parking with elevator access due to small parking lot. I ranked the hotel high based on these features. Cons: Charging for parking when there are no other options for parking on property doesn’t make sense. Signs posted stating non-smoking facility however multiple people were using a vape pen with THC in the liquid in the hallways and elevator. Weekend breakfast didn’t start until 7, which is late when individuals are trying to get to team sporting events or even on the road to home on Sunday morning. We had a one-king bed suite sofa bed. I loved the suite! It was so clean, modern, and comfortable! The couch is one of the nicest ones we've had in a hotel as it's new, clean, and firm to sit on. The suite was large and the modern, modular furniture and overall room layout is excellent and well thought-out! There is a shelf to place two suitcases where they are easily accessible yet out of the way. There is a large armoire and a lot of countertop space to place your items. There is a large, high-quality flatscreen TV and it's easy to plug in your FireTV stick to stream your own ad-free shows. There are lots of well-lit mirrors and plugs for your electronics. Vicky is very personable with impeccable customer service. Upon arriving he greeting me and quickly assisted me with checking into my reservation. Explained all the amenities this hotel had to offer and helped with an explaining how to get to my room. This hotel is very clean and I’d definitely recommend anyone that needs a hotel for a few nights to stay here. I’ll definitely come back for work trips. Really enjoyed my stay here! Big shoutout to Mitun at the front desk — he was super helpful, polite, and made check-in a breeze. You can tell he really cares about guests and knows his job well. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was amazing. Everything was fresh and tasty, but the pancakes were definitely my favorite — soft, fluffy, and perfectly cooked. Would 100% stay here again. Great staff, great food, and great vibes all around!
