Holiday Inn Express & Suites Portage by IHG

This is a nice, newer updated Holiday Inn Express. The rooms are spacious and located near a fairly quiet state way, at night you barely here any noise. The breakfast is wonderful with many choices. The staff was friendly and easy to talk to. I would recommend this hotel and stay here again if I was in the area again.

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Isaac helped us get checked in early after a long 7 hour drive and was so incredibly helpful and friendly our entire 3 days. That gentleman needs a raise!! The cleaning staff was great and left us plenty of clean towels everyday. The breakfast was yum yum! We will be back

When I arrived at the hotel there was no one at the front desk (they had just stepped away right before I came in). A housekeeper noticed I was waiting and got me assistance right away. The desk clerk apologized several times, even though I only waited maybe two minutes at the most. He was the friendliest host I have ran across at a hotel, and got me checked in promptly. My room looked better in person than it did in the online pictures, so I was very pleased with that as well. It was exceptionally clean, and the better was really comfortable. My only complaint was the temperature of the pool room. It was so hot we had to leave because it was making us nauseous. As a side note, the pool area was also really clean and it was a pretty decent sized pool. I would definitely stay here ag

I don't understand the complaints. This is a pretty new hotel. The front desk waa helpful and friendly. I think sometimes people are just primadonnas or they don't stay here.

Quite pricey for the middle of nowhere (we had a bit of sticker shock), but maybe that was because it seems to be the best option around there. It was clean and comfortable, with nice beds and good water temperature and pressure in the shower, and the breakfast was not bad at all. The workout room was decent (though the air conditioning was out in there) and several kids seemed to be enjoying the pool. Also, the staff was super friendly and helpful. I actually left something in the room by accident and they helped ship it to me, which was great.
