Baymont by Wyndham Portage Indiana Dunes

Good Hotel Location. Rooms are relatively cheap. Old Furniture Mattress I had was way too hard in my Opinion. I spent 2Weeks in that Hotel had to change Rooms because of a Heater failure. Shower water temperature only warm not Hot. Pretty decent Breakfast daily available but fresh coffee not available before 6-7 am. Had to ask the clerk on a daily basis for creamer because it didn’t get stocked up. My personal rating is going to be a 4 out of 10 You get what you pay for.

My husband and I were traveling across the country and stopped here for a quick overnight stay. We were exhausted and just needed a place to rest. I want to start by saying that Colletta was wonderful and did her best to accommodate us—none of the issues we experienced were her fault. The first room we were given had a very strong cat urine odor. The second room thankfully did not smell, but it was extremely run down. The lampshades were ripped and falling apart, and most of the electrical outlets did not work. There were no working outlets in the bathroom, so I couldn’t even use the wall-mounted hair dryer. Our key cards only worked intermittently, and the side door—closest and easiest for taking our elderly dog outside—did not work with the key card at all. I was told the door should b

My band and I had a gig in Chicago. It started to snow really bad by the time we had to leave back towards home. We decided that it would be safer to just find a hotel for the evening.||||I found this place on Google Maps, and since I am a rewards member, I gave them a call. They fortunately had a nice room available, with two queens and a hide-a-bed. ||||It was a quick and friendly check in. We were hungry but it was snowing too much to visit the bar across the lot, so we were happy that the vending machines were stocked!||||The beds were nice and comfortable, with quality bedding and pillows. All set for a good night's rest.||||We woke early and were able to enjoy a nice, hot breakfast in a clean dining room. ||||Then we packed up and hit the freshly plowed roads!||||See you next time!||

Positive: It's location is right off the highway. Negative: There was a slight cigarette smoke smell to the room and the halls. The tile and grout in the bathroom were in very poor shape. The bathroom really needs a full renovation. There were areas of black grout and missing sealant that looked unhealthy.

Room was very old creepy, broken bathroom door, dirty towels, and pillows overall needs to be updated little bit of paint, change this dirty carpet in room. So room king size with hot tub its creepy and old. Motel 8 have better standards and nicer looking rooms.
