Holiday Inn Express & Suites Goodlettsville N - Nashville by IHG

My wife and I stayed there for 4 days while driving in and out of Nashville every day. The location was good but a lot of road construction on the interstate at the exit area that tied traffic up at times. We had several issues with our room, first, the heater was so loud every time it came on you couldn't hear the TV and it woke us up at night, very annoying. Second, we put about $30 worth of food in the room refrigerator to find out it never gets below about 55 degrees with no adjustment. All of our food spoiled. Third, there was a desk employee that had long fuzzy hair that was never at the desk, most times sitting around on the lobby furniture eating or sleeping. At first we thought he was a homeless person. We very politely explained our issues about the loud heater and the refrigerat

The room was fine and clean enough, but the AC/heater sounded like it was trying to take off. It woke me up all night like I had front-row seats to an airport runway. The shower had black mold around the edges, which was not part of the décor I was hoping for. Breakfast had a good selection, but everything was barely warm. Not hot, not cold… just emotionally warm. The in-room coffee maker didn’t work, so they replaced it with another one that also didn’t work. At that point I realized this hotel and coffee were simply not meant to be. I gave up and moved on. The place has potential, but between the jet-engine AC, surprise mold, warm-ish breakfast, and the double-failure coffee situation, this stay kept things interesting.

The hotel itself was very nice. The room was in great shape, bed comfortable, shower/bathroom clean and the breakfast was good. The only negative experience was the day prior to my reservation I tried to call the hotel about 15 or 20 times and even emailed...I got no answers. I needed to cancel the reservation (a specific instance where I needed to speak with the hotel manager). I called IGH Customer Service and even they could not get an answer from the hotel... So I had to keep the reservation which screwed up some family plans. During my stay at the hotel I grabbed a business card with the number if anyone needs it.
