Holiday Inn Express & Suites Gainesville - Lake Lanier Area, an IHG Hotel

Stayed here 1/18/2026. Parking was good. Check in was fast. The room was large very clean and fresh smelling. The bed had a good mattress. Spacious bathroom lots of towels, soap, shampoo, etc. Breakfast was good with hot food like eggs, sausage, potatoes, pancakes. Good fresh brewed coffee. The heat pump did make a somewhat loud noise when the compressor was running so only 4 stars.

Positive: Cleanliness, layout of rooms, hot breakfast were all excellent. Staff was pleasant. Negative: 1) When we arrived at 3:00 pm, our room was not ready. They had already given out all the suites to customers who requested early arrival. 2) There was NO hot water no matter how long we let the water run. We had to take lukewarm showers.

The staff is fabulous!!! The breakfast was delicious! The beds are ohhhhhhhh so amazing!!!!! Great for sleeping and 🍆🍆! Can't wait for another sleek away!!

My husband had a heart attack and was in NGA Medical Center Gainesville GA- CCU for a week. I needed to stay close by as we live and hour away. The entire staff was so kind, helpful and supportive during this challenging time for me. My husband and I are grateful for your hospitality.

I stayed there last night. The cost was 240.00. No hot water issues both that night and in the morning, even after running hot water for 20 minutes. Spoke to the front desk the night before, and they had to reset the boiler. Called in the morning, and the same issue says it's a known issue. Had to get on the road so took a cold shower. Air filters in the AC unit in the room clogged. Plus had mold in the bathroom.
