Courtyard by Marriott Gainesville GA

I stayed at this hotel for a two‑day business trip, and I couldn’t have been more impressed. From the moment my two colleagues and I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, happy, and completely taken care of. Everyone we interacted with was incredibly friendly, accommodating, and genuinely eager to help—nothing ever felt like an inconvenience. The property itself was spotless, comfortable, and perfectly suited for business travelers. Everything about our stay felt easy and effortless because of how well the team handled every detail. The location was another huge plus—just a short walk to a charming downtown square filled with cute shops and great restaurants. It made our downtime enjoyable and convenient. We spent 2 weeks here and the hotel couldn't have been better. The lobby is huge and beautifully decorated. It is very comfortable and the bar has a nice atmosphere. Our room was great and well appointed (a makeup mirror would be appreciated). There was a very large smart TV, small refrigerator and microwave. The room was kept very clean. Select a courtyard view if you are sensitive to noise. The washer/dryer was a real plus. It is located within walking distance to the downtown square with great shops and restaurants.

I've been staying full time in mid range Marriott and Hilton hotels for 4 months now, as I've been travelling. This is the nicest hotel I've stayed in during that time. They smelt wonderful, have a great bar with an amazing bartender and service, the rooms look freshly remodeled, they are both pristine and modern/cute. So grateful!! They even have streaming on the TV. The rooms, however, are a little thin and you can hear the traffic on the street. I was on the 3rd floor, not sure if that gets better higher up

The Courtyard in Gainesville came to may rescue this weekend! Let me explain... I had set aside a long weekend to finish writing my first book. I checked into a north Georgia mountain lodge and settled in for a productive writing retreat. And then came the snow "storm" (yes, in Georgia 3 inches counts as a storm). I was booted from the lodge - irritating, but I don't blame them. I looked for an alternative off the mountain and the Courtyard in Gainesville fit all my criteria. Immediately upon arrival, I felt the the frustration dissipate and began to calm down. The staff were amazing, friendly, and took care of my needs - Lisa in particular. Wonderful location.  We could walk to all our favourite breakfast spots and also stroll around the historic square .  We are Brits so we take every opportunity to walk and this Hotel is in a safe area for walking around.  The parking under the Hotel is so convenient that we did not mind paying $15.00 per night as it was worth it.  Marriott Courtyard is a real benefit to the City of Gainsville which is undergoing a complete renaissance.  Really enjoyed our 4 night stay and will return.
