Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Gainesville

Kendra and Awal were exceptional in every way in making our stay the most consummate and healing stay after my surgery recovery near the surgical center when I had hernia surgery. They went above and beyond in making sure we could check in before my surgery so there was an easy transition back to the hotel. They offered me extra pillows and a room that was on the top floor and very quiet. The quality of the hotel was also exceptional and beautiful. I love love love this hotel!

I have given the Fairfield by Marriott in Gainesville repeat business whenever I travel for nearby medical care that requires an overnight stay. They are literally my home away from home with the entire staff being incredibly kind, giving, accomodating in a lovely hotel that feels comforting for sleep and recovery. I am so thankful for having this hotel as my go to whenever I need a really good night's sleep in a very comforting setting.

We loved it here. The blackout curtains is always a favorite of mine. I love that checkout is at noon . The hotel and my room was very clean. If I had to make a suggestion, it would be to upgrade the stained shower curtains but that was not a huge issue. We also enjoyed the Grab and go breakfast. Great variety. I'd definitely stay again.

I wish I could give this hotel zero stars. The only reason I’m giving it one is because that’s the lowest option available. The service when I arrived was absolutely unacceptable. I had already paid for my weekend stay through Booking.com, but the hotel charged Booking.com incorrectly and decided to make me pay for their mistake. They essentially punished me by forcing me to pay twice and then left me sitting in the lobby for almost two hours trying to resolve the issue on my own. The front desk agent was rude, unhelpful, and offered zero assistance—even though I showed proof that the room was already paid for. They refused to give me the room I had booked and fully paid for. The hotel is fine, much like every other Fairfield Inn. The check in experience was normal and the room was clean and mostly well kept. I found the bed comfortable and the noise level from outside tolerable. I had a great nights sleep truth be told. Right as I was going to be I could follow along with my loud mouth neighbor’s phone conversation as if I was involved. Not sure if the walls are unusually thin or he was unusually loud. The front desk called his room immediately after I called and complained and the loud talker settled down. The breakfast was normal for a Marriott continental breakfast.
