Hampton Inn Gainesville

Service was wonderful - housekeeping was so nice. I had my "Do not disturb" sign on the door all week, but anytime I crossed paths with housekeeping they would always greet me, ask if everything was okay, if I needed any towels, etc. always seemed chipper. Breakfast buffet had a nice area of of both hot and cold breakfast (even had a waffle maker and oatmeal). I ate breakfast everyday (I only had eggs, potatoes, yogurt) and I'm not a breakfast person. Other than being close to a main intersection and being able to hear traffic a bit - overall I'd say it was a good stay.

My spouse and I decided on a trip away from Atlanta where both our jobs allowed us a 2 night stay here. It was pretty cool to see 2 pilots at the breakfast; the more senior pilot was filling in what I believe was a new pilot to the airline from what we overheard! Overall our stay was pleasant. Walked to the Gainsville Square for lunch or dinner and everything tried was on point! I'm not one for writing reviews but this hotel is more in line with a 4 star and was very comfortable.

Overall a good stay, but to review, this is an older Hampton that probably had a remodel a while ago as the beds are a little worn out, and the room and hallway had a slight musty smell. The mini fridge was barely running and lighting needs improvement. The biggest change needs to be the seating in the breakfast area, very uncomfortable as padding is terrible and makes you sit well below table seating level. The hospitality is the only reason I would come back again, as everyone was very nice and helpful.

Everything was going great until breakfast. I poured some apple juice from the machine and it tasted just like mold. I try to tell the attendant but speak no English. I went to front desk and she rolled her eyes.
