We stayed in a deluxe city view room at Hilton Financial District—beautiful views and a warm welcome! The TV greeted us with a personalized “Welcome Cristopher,” which was a thoughtful touch. Staff were friendly and let us check in early. Great location near Chinatown, with amazing food—thanks to Denmark for recommending House of Nanking! Room was clean and well-priced.
This hotel has no business charging anyone almost 600$/ night. My stay here was disgusting. The check-in process fine, but the room itself was not what I would expect from a HILTON. When I first walked in, it was fine on the surface. I dropped my things off and left for a work conference. I came back very late. I was ready to shower and get ready for bed. When I took my shoes off the floor felt damp. No matter where I walked, it felt damp. I went into the bathroom and when I went to use the toilet, I lifted the lid to find urine on the seat. It wasn’t dried, it was still wet. You can see in the video I hadn’t used the bathroom yet because the toilet paper was still creased from “housekeeping”. I cleaned the toilet with hand soap and tissue. Next I went to shower, but I immediately spotte
We spent 3 nights at the Hilton San Francisco - Financial District and enjoyed our stay. We came to sightsee and found the location to be very good. After dropping the family off at the hotel I took our rental car back to SFO and rode BART to the Montgomery Street stop (around $11 I think). From there it was an easy 10-15 minute walk to the hotel. It is also about 5 blocks from the Chinatown - Rose Pak T train stop which is a great way to get around the city. The Powell and Jackson cable car stop is 2 blocks further from the station. There is a bus stop just in front of the hotel as well. We took a Waymo car down to the Fisherman’s Wharf area and walked back stopping at various points along the way.||Our room was on a high floor and had great views of Coit Tower, Alcatraz and the bay. I would have gladly left a five-star review, but unfortunately, an issue at checkout changed that experience. Check-in was very smooth, and the front desk staff who welcomed us were friendly and professional. The hotel lobby has a beautiful ambiance, and the restaurant/bar area feels warm and inviting — especially with the fireplace. The drinks were solid (about 4 stars). We only ordered the calamari, which I would rate 2 stars — it was rubbery, and a couple of pieces tasted off. Cleanliness throughout the hotel was a solid 4 stars. The problem arose at checkout. I checked out through the app and had been informed at check-in that we had a $36 daily food and beverage credit as part of our rewards benefits. When I received the emailed receipt, the credit had not been applied. I called t
Stayed at the Hilton San Francisco Financial District for 2 nights. Location-wise, it felt safe and much cleaner compared to Market Street. It’s within easy walking distance to the Embarcadero, Chinatown, and Market Street, and not too far from Union Square. As for the hotel itself, it is definitely dated and shows wear. The carpets were lifting in some areas, and there were visible cracks in the walls/drywall. We had a north-facing room, which thankfully did not smell old or musty. The room was spacious and generally comfortable, but the bed felt quite worn and noticeably lopsided. Shower water pressure was weak, though the water did get hot when needed. Both the heat and AC worked very well and were quiet. The walls are fairly thin, as we could hear doors slamming, loud noises, and hea
