Hilton Richmond Hotel & Spa/Short Pump

Let me start with... Received an email for checking in through the Hilton ap I follow the simple instructions with no Avail. I called the hotel with my issue and was told to refresh my app and the issue was resolved / except it wasn't and we checked in at the desk upon arrival. To be clear I don't mind a personal check in but don't tell me the contact less issue was resolved when it clearly wasn't. * this was the beginning of the technical issues. Upon the initial inspection of our room we found: long hair in the toilet, used coffee pod in the coffee pot, front of TV was past dirty, & to top all that off blood on the mattress pad. Visited the weekend after Thanksgiving. |The good: Mobile key was great, making check in/out easy. Staff were friendly, hotel generally clean and nice as expected for a Hilton. Room generally clean and beds comfortable, room service pretty quick. My wife enjoyed the scalding hot water in the shower-me and my kids did not. We did not use the pool, but nobody was in it and it looked clean. I really liked that there's underground parking. The location is great as well, just off the main road with quick access to anything you need but still quiet. ||The bad: understand that hotels in general use cheap sheets, but the sheets here are sandpaper loud. You can't move without everyone in the room hearing. Much like other hotels-the lack of ventilation in the bathroom is wreaking havoc on the c

Positive: Hotel staff very polite and efficient. Negative: Few places to sit down in room, no couch. No cabinet in bathroom (e.g. for toilet paper)

Our stay at the Hilton Richmond Hotel & Spa/Short Pump was excellent. We checked in the night before with Cedric, and the entire desk team was excellent. We particularly enjoyed a great conversation with Cedric about the history of the Short Pump community; his customer service and knowledge of the hotel were outstanding. The room was top-notch, and both the lobby and bar areas felt truly first-class, making for a wonderful overall stay at the property. Both Cedric and Courage are awesome members of the front desk staff, always willing to help guests with any needs that may arise. We also thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast and the service at The Restaurant, which is known for its buffet favorites and cooked-to-order omelets.

The location of this hotel was perfect. Parking lot was well lit. Checking in was simple and easy. I did not appreciate having to pay for another parking pass, but that comes with the territory. The lobby was very interactive with a restaurant and business center located in the center of the building for your convenience. Staff were also very accommodating. If anyone is staying in the area, I would highly recommend this hotel.
