Hampton Inn Wilmington-University Area/Smith Creek Station

I went into the lobby to hail an uber which I’ve done many times. This older woman with no name tag asked why I was there and l told her. She then went in about how I should not hang out in the lobby, saying “just this once” and that I’d have to stay outside —treating me like I’m some unwanted person. She was then saying that “it’s not that cold outside”. You know what, it’s still pretty cold and I feel safer sitting inside. I went back in to look for a managers card so I could complain. I noticed I grabbed the wrong card as it was for a sales manager for the hospitality company. I went back and returned the wrong card and wanted to see if I could grab a general hotel manager’s card but the only cards they have are for sales. I asked for a managers card. I didn’t get one. I asked for name

I stay here any time I'm in Wilmington for work, and it has been nothing but excellent each time... The rooms are clean and spacious. There is a high variety of food at breakfast. The hotel staff are always helpful and kind. On top of all that the price is quite cheap!

Loved my stay here! The breakfast was amazing! The staff was the friendliest of any of the places I have stayed in a long time. My room was great and nice and clean. You can’t beat the location for the price. I highly recommend this place. I can’t say enough great things about it.

This was a nice, clean hotel conveniently located within walking distance of a couple of nice restaurants. The hotel was very clean and the staff friendly. Good breakfast options and having a bar on site is a plus. Will be staying again on my next visit.

Positive: "" Negative: We filtered selection of hotel to be one with an airport shuttle. Upon arrival they said they had no shuttle so we had to pay for a ride to the airport. Also, they had stated hours for their lobby bar and it was never opened.
