Hampton Inn & Suites Richmond/Glenside

When traveling, I always try and find a Hampton Inn. This was maybe the best 5/5 Hampton Inn stays we’ve ever had. My family and I stayed here January 2026 for a night while traveling back to South Carolina. This is a great location as well with tons of food options and a Walmart nearby.||Immediately I recognized how friendly the staff was. We checked in early afternoon, and the woman at the front desk offered my toddler a toy from a toy box - she was thrilled.||The hotel is clean and updated and the beds had the expected comfort we hoped for.||Breakfast choices were plentiful as expected as well - hot items, waffles, cereal, fruit and pastries. ||This will be our choice in VA anytime we travel up/down I-95!

We stay only at Hampton Inns and Hilton. We bought a camper and it's been awhile since we stayed in one. We went to Richmond Va for Valentines weekend and stayed at this Hampton Inn. It was WONDERFUL! The room had no carpet just clean floors. Everything was clean and very nice. The TV was the perfect size and it used apps now. So u had live TV plus the regular apps. Security is nice. After hours u need a key card to get into the lobby and the desk clerk has to unlock the elevator to let u use it. The free breakfast is the same. Enough to get u started. Coffee and hot water for tea is available all day. The staff is very helpful including the cleaning ladies.The price of the rooms were ok.

Positive: "" Negative: No disclosure that the hotel was under renovations. Noise was beyond hours said and we needed sleep for a tournament.

T'Keshia Brown is an incredibly customer focused employee. She jumped through hoops when I found myself in a "situation" not being able to make my reservation because of a snowstorm. I thought I was going to get jammed up but she called me back out of the blue with a SOLUTION. She didn't have to remember me, she could have just forgotten about it each time we hung up, but then she called me out of the blue and told me how I could rearrange my travel plans with no penalty. I really appreciated that. I have since checked in (one week late) and can tell you that this property is sharp! I hadn't stayed here in a few years and between the time I last stayed and today the place had been completely remodeled. Nice room, but somewhat poorly designed sink faucet (mine came off at one point) and very low water pressure. My shower water did not get very hot, but it was warm enough. Everything was very clean and safe. The TV is new and you can log into streaming apps. Staff could be stand-offish at times but helped me with everything I needed. Breakfast was fine, typical Hampton offerings, but closes early at 9. Bed and pillows were comfortable and room was spacious.
