Hampton Inn Harrisonburg - South

I booked this hotel for a quick overnite on our way to South Carolina. We arrived around 10:45ish pm. Prior to arrival Brooklyn message me to see if there was anything we needed. Upon arrival Brooklyn was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and spotless and plenty of towels. I would definitely stay here again in our travels. The price was very reasonable as well and easy on off the highway.

I frequently visit the area and first time at this hotel. |Good was lots of parking, near interstate, easy to find and bed was comfortable.|Not so good. Employee at check in was not very friendly or engaging. Tables at breakfast area dirty and limited fresh breakfast selections. Orange juice was not good and apples only fresh fruit and they were not very fresh. Room needed attention. Small tv with limited channels. One of the lamps had stains on lamp shade. Toilet paper dispenser loose. 2 toiletry bottles in room were empty. The air vents were nasty. Obviously had not been cleaned in a long time. It is not guests' responsibility to constantly report issues to management. A couple of times went to front desk no one was there. Management needs to do a better job of inspecting the rooms and b

Typical Hampton Inn, but I have been to better. The breakfast was good but while the room was clean, the fact that the air-conditioning did not work, made it subpar. Was not able to get it addressed and when I told the front desk they didn’t offer any resolution or anything really…..

Upon check in, the lobby was quite clean and seemed very modern. That was VERY misleading. When we got to our room, it was clear the rooms didn’t receive the same type of updates the lobby area did. The furniture was very dated, with scuff marks on everything. The walls had patchy paint and scuff marks and other mystery substances on them. The ceiling in the shower was peeling and in need of repair. My biggest issue- the cleanliness! I woke up in the middle of the night sneezing and my eyes were burning. In the morning, I wheezing and had to use my inhaler. My son was sneezing and nose running. We both have a sensitivity to dust and mold, not sure which it was that set us off, but something in that room had us running for check out. | I am most troubled by the folks that gave this plac

Positive: Lady running the continental breakfast; super job all around. Also, very friendly. Negative: Desk help was detached;; not friendly at all.
