Hampton Inn Amelia Island at Fernandina Beach

The exterior of the hotel, hallways and breakfast area are definitely older and need refurbishing. They’re not dirty, just old. However, the rooms have been renovated and are very nice! Linens are good, plenty of towels, carpet was new. Rooms have refrigerators along with a coffee maker. The front desk was very helpful and helped us move our room from a king to a double queen (had a cold and the hubby needed cough space). Overall, it was fine if you want to be close to downtown with shopping and restaurants. Next time we will probably stay somewhere different. The Christmas tree made of old dolls probably did me in.

Friendly, helpful staff. However it 2:15 we were told our room would be ready in 30 min and someone would call us. I did not receive a phone call & had to go back in one he. to check on the status of our room! Most of the food for breakfast. However the egg omelet did not have much taste & the bacon was greasy and so very thin!Bed and pillows were very comfortable. 5

I called this location and advised them I had the flu or Covid. They charged me $890 for cancellation. The management didn’t care I could have been very contagious with flu, covid or noroviris. I do not recommend them at all!

Our family of three stayed at the Hampton Inn and appreciated the excellent location and the large room complete with a full size refrigerator, coffee maker, dishes and dishwasher. Complimentary coffee was in the lobby. We did not take advantage of the complimentary breakfast. Location was ideal since it was easy walking distance to the historic district. Free parking was available.|Would return if we were in the area.

Chose this hotel as we stayed in 2021 and found it pleasant and a decent value. Most recently stayed Oct 1 2025 and returned Oct 26 2025. The entrance and lobby were in need of cleaning on the 1st and looked worse on the 26, as if they had not been cleaned in between our visits. Front desk staff although pleasant looked unprofessional and if they didn’t have a name tag you couldn’t tell them from guests. Bathrooms (showers)show much wear, including rust marks in the tile from the grab bar, leaky shower heads and doors. I mentioned the condition of the bathroom on both visits to the front desk when checking out. Disappointed to say the least.
