The service was top tier from Tim our amazing Bellhop who was kind enough to leave us a parting gift to Bella at the lobby bar. Tim was packed with information about the island and fishing. The Room itself was clean, comfy though a bit dated but had an amazing ocean front view (as all rooms do). The hotel is renovating and I dont think ours was touched yet. It was too cold to enjoy the pool area but it was aesthetically pleasing with fire pits. All food was great averaging $30 pp per meal or higher. One of the best breakfast buffets ever. Room service was super fast each time. The recently renovated Spa was very tranquil. I enjoyed a facial and massage. The eucalyptus steam shower is a must try. Lightning in the dressing room could be better. Overall we’ll be back when its warmer.

I normally do deep hotel and vacation research- first looking at the worst reviews. I skipped all research unfortunately since I assumed that an Omni property would be very nice and upscale. We've stayed several times at the Omni Financial District San Francisco in the past and assumed the quality would be the same.||I don't know that there's any hope for this property other than a tear down. The lobby and pool area are beautiful but the room layout is motel style with corridors open to the air. We paid for a premium 2 Q room but had to request to be moved. The mattresses were tilting and sunken in the middle. I don't ever recall staying in any hotel/motel with such poor mattresses. Our next room in the refurbished wing had newer, less worn out mattresses but the room was not up to normal

Positive: The staff at this hotel are outstanding! From the front desk to the pool to the cleaning staff. Their smiles greeted meet everyday. Hotel employee around the pool was very courteous. Hotel employee at Flora Belles makes a super omelet and was very sweet. The best Negative: ""

Our recent stay at Omni Amelia Island was extremely disappointing and far below the standard we’ve consistently experienced at other Omni properties. At check-in, we were not recognized as Select Guests — something that has never happened to us at any Omni. We were initially told noon was the latest possible checkout, and only after mentioning our Icon level status was late checkout extended to 4:00 p.m. The interaction felt uncomfortable rather than welcoming. Unfortunately, the issues continued in our first room. We found a bug crawling on a feather pillow (despite my profile noting no feather pillows), there was no mattress protector on the bed, the in-room phone was covered in sand, and the table surface was sticky. The room temperature was set to 77 degrees, and the cheese in our we

The positives first: the view from all rooms on the ocean is amazing. Also the pool area facing the ocean, plus the private access paths to the beach are great. The lobby has been renovated and look nice. The negatives: for the price charged you would just expect better. The rooms are nothing special beside the views. The walls are very thin, so it’s pretty noisy. The breezeways are not enclosed so the hallways are cold and exposed like in a motel. The restaurant offer mediocre food for hefty price points. What disappointed me most was the fact that they upcharge you for everything. You pay a resort fee, but then they have “special” loungers that they want $80 per day to rent. Also since there are not other restaurants in walking distance, they charge some hefty prices at almost every rest
