Hampton Inn Akron-South

I came with a group of 7 ladies, we had 4 rooms total. The first girl at the counter when we checked in for our stay was friendly and helpful, no complaints about her at all. The first room she gave us of the 4 rooms, the door was open, bed unmade, room hadn’t been cleaned. She righted that quickly. We all get to our rooms, not many complaints, the bathroom floor seemed sticky, but I wasn’t going to be barefoot on it anyway. Then bedtime, my friend climbed into bed and pulled the blanket up only to be met with body odor smell on the blanket. Whoever worked the night shift at the front desk, never looked up or acknowledged anyone who came through the front door. In the morning, the elevator was broken, so everyone had to use the stairs. The room was clean and as advertised. Check in was easy. However, the 'breakfast' was a complete disappointment. Almost no food, we went down there multiple times, and what was available was in very limited quantities. No milk for cereal, most food trays and bakery options empty.

Hotel is in a quiet area, extremely easy access from I-77. Room was very clean and quiet. Need to ask for cups and limited electrictral outlets. Breakfast offered numerous options.

What a great experience! This is a newly renovated Inn and it’s so nice and clean. The front desk person was so efficient and helpful! The room is excellent and we appreciate the staff.
