Comfort Inn & Suites Akron South

I travel for work, so I stay a lot of nights at Choice Hotels. I would put this hotel at the very top! The room was very clean and comfortable with a great bad. The hotel property is beautiful and well kept up. Excellent! What I want to highlight on my review is the staff. Shirley was at the front desk when I checked in. A youth soccer team was checking in so there was a long line to work through. She did it seamlessly and with grace. And by the time I got to the front of the line, she was just as kind to me. Amazing! And her assistant was just as kind. I would very much recommend staying here!

Incredible place they let me check in early. The room was clean. Very nice. The beds are stellar that’s so comfortable now the tub is a little bit short, but it’ll work. The pool is very nice too. I’m very excited to swim in that. They do not have a hot tub or a sauna but they have a workout room. I highly suggest coming here.

We had a great stay, the room was clean. The hotel was kept up nice, all amenities we could utilize while we were there. However when I arrived I was left sitting in the lobby for a half hour before even being greeted. The worker came out of the restroom got us taken care of and while I was waiting on the key cards I had to use the restroom so I go in there and it stunk of stale smoke and was a little smokey. I understand it's cold out whatever|| But YOU choose to smoke|| You should not ever do that crap inside.. what if someone was on oxygen and couldn't breathe that in|| It's a safety and health violation not to mention I'm sure it goes against the employee handbook!!

Very nice place, very accommodating by Shirley. Had a great talk with her. All staff is very pleasant. Had a good talk with Shirley about a couple of issues she said she'd take care of it and speak with the staff.

Positive: This hotel offers great breakfast. They have fresh cut fruit every morning. All the employees have a friendly demeanor. I love that in this hotel you have the ability to be able to wash your laundry. Negative: There are spots in the ceiling (in the halls) that show water damage and have mold on them. I do wish they offered meat that was not pork based for breakfast.
