Great Lakes Motel

At first I was skeptical about staying here, but it’s the only place the company I work for would pay for me to stay at. Kind of felt sorry for the old fella in charge who is the owner and is trying to make a living and do the best he can for the price he charges for the night. It’s old and outdated but it was clean and I felt safe and got a good nights sleep after working on the highway all day. The water had to run awhile to get hot water to the shower but no biggie. It’s the cheapest place in the area to stay at for a reason. I will probably have no problem staying there again in the future just because all I need is a clean place to sleep verses the overpriced Big Chain Hotels That Just Rape you for over a $120-$260 a night for not much more than a place to sleep. I just expect a clean

We slept with a loaded 380. There was a drunk couple arguing outside all night. If it wasn't 3am and we was tired as hell. I've never smelled a room so bad. If you have a choice find a spot to sleep in your car you would be better off than sleeping here

Don't waste your time on this ****hole. We called to reserve a room and the counter person refused to give us a room price per night. His excuse was that it is a busy weekend and therefore he can't give a price until customer check in. What happens when they let garbage cross the bridge and buy businesses.

We had to wake someone up together a room. When we got into the room we found out it looks like the flooring the bathroom was going to fall in. The sink looked as if it may fall as well. We didn't use the air because it popped the breaker. There was also duck tape all over the back of the door. To top it off we were overcharged for the room.

We arrived late in St. Ignace with no reservation, and after checking pretty much everywhere, this was the last room in town. This motel was new and shiny about 60 years ago. It was clean, and gave us a place to sleep for $100. This place had vacancies for a reason. It also had pretty much no hot water. Literally the last resort!
