Governor House Inn

This hotel is located in the perfect spot. No to far from Washington D.C and other cities. Not to far from lots of grocery store or restaurant also! I’m a regular here! And anytime I stay here I get treated very well and are very helpful with anything you need. Very family and work friendly and as well as very quiet. Please give them a try! New management is great!

This is an old Inn that could use some capital investment to improve it. Don't let their official website photos fool you. Yes, it is very clean, but some of the rooms have a major need for bathroom renovations. (See attached photos.) On the plus side, the beds have good support and the linens were clean. The motel is in a quiet neighborhood and is far enough from the road to allow a good night's sleep. Breakfast was included at the adjacent waffle house: scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon, waffles, toast, cereal, milk, coffee and orange juice. Overall, the low price is fitting, just beware that it is old and needs some improvements. There is a free shuttle service that operates part time during daytime hours, but it really isn't necessary since the inn is located about 100-150 yards from a

Excellent customer service. Room is clean and the atmosphere is patriotic, even aside from the Great Wall mural. The owner family loves America and no doubt that love permeates the atmosphere and all aspects of the customer service and the business esteem. Highly recommend!

Accommodations are simple & clean. My cousin tells me that she was accustomed to more amenities, but it was good enough for me. Staff are friendly & accommodating. When asked, the front desk was able to provide a hair dryer to my cousin, for example. The booking service we used reported breakfast would be an additional $10 USD, but when we arrived, we were informed that breakfast is included (simple options of pastries, cereals & coffee, juice, etc) until 10:00 a.m. Enjoy a good night's rest and go tourist around D.C. for a while.
