Gorge View

I really enjoyed my stay at this hostel. The place was comfortable, well maintained, and had a warm, welcoming atmosphere even during the winter season. The host was very informative and helpful. He took the initiative to get me very acquainted with the area. Communication during normal hours was smooth. The host genuinely cares about the well being of both the guests, the hostel and the community around Niagara Falls. I had an awesome experience overall and would happily stay here again. Highly recommended!

I really enjoyed my stay at Gorge View Hostel in upstate New York. Throughout my time there, the owner was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. He was a wonderful source of information about the area, which helped me make the most of my visit to the falls. Since it was my first time staying in a hostel, I was a little nervous at first, but he immediately put me at ease. I really appreciated how available he was and how he listened to and validated my concerns. That made a big difference for me.||The hostel itself is housed in a beautiful old building spread over three stories. There’s a generously sized common area and a well-equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook for yourself. I found these spaces very clean and comfortable, and they helped me feel relaxed and at home.|

Positive: The front office staff and house keepers were are super welcoming and accommodated every need and want with a smile and warm heart. Negative: I have nothing bad to say about this establishment. 10/10 will recommend and will be back myself.

As many guests have previously already mentioned the host can be quite rude. I think that for the price it would be an okay stay if the host was less rude. Therefore I really think the host should retire maybe hire a nicer manager. This is easily the worst stay I've had at any place, there's a strict check-in policy and you have to reach before 7pm no matter what. The owner Jeff is rude and unprofessional. Also The power went off at our room at one point, even though there wasn't a power outage in the area. Jeff made us feel very unwelcome telling us that we are the weirdest guests he has ever had just because we moved a table to play a board game.

Jeff (Manager) was really cool and helpful, he allows early check-in and provides guidance to tour around and enjoy the falls and its view. The place was very comfortable and right across the street was the view of Canada and the trail to the Falls, at nights the scene and the overall experience is better Overall, the place is definitely recommended, The Manager is not rude he's just straightforward but willing to help to the extent he can, and the rules of the place are well specified on the sites so there shouldn't be any misleading or miscommunication.
