Hyatt Place Niagara Falls

Get an odd numbered room so you can see the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. Our room was ok, the heater didn’t work properly. It was either too hot or too cold. The shower was nice looking however the hot water only lasted a few minutes it wasn’t hot enough to steam up the mirror so that was horrible. It was clean and had a small sectional couch in the room. You can’t see the actual falls from the room but it’s a 5 minute walk to the edge of them. There is no onsite parking but the ramp is free for hotel guests right across the street. The breakfast was pretty good. Hardboiled eggs and oatmeal, French toast and sausage. Overall not a horrible stay. There was a dog barking at times but we slept fine. Positive: walking distance to dining and casino Negative: Room was not ready even though we arrived after posted check in time. No one at front desk to validate parking when we tried to check out (mid-morning). Lid of ice bucket in our room was covered in visible dust, making it unusable. Ice bucket also dirty.

Nice located hotel which is walking distance to Canada custom and viewing points of Niagara Falls in USA. For a three star hotel, they have all the things that is needed a for a good family stay. We got a two Queen size bed room with a additional sofa bed, good for a family of 4. AC is working fine and quiet, bathroom hot water is good during winter season and tv comes with good selection of channels for family viewing. There is a gym which we did not use due to our short 2 night stay. There is a attractive $11 breakfast buffet available. Paid washer and dryer available onsite which is good for us to wash our clothes. Only downside is there is not kettle to make hot/warm water for drinking in room.

I can't say enough great things about this hotel. We're in our 70s and went to the Comfort Inn around the corner first. The desk clerk there was dismissive and acted like we were bothering him. Price was over $200, parking lot dangerously dark. Hotel did not look safe so we left and found the excellent Hyatt with the outstanding and entertaining Angelo running the front desk. He was very personable, our room had a fantastic view of Canada and the falls. Hotel very quiet. Breakfast buffet was the best we had had since we left home in Florida days before. Eggs, bacon, French toast., lots more to choose from. Spinach quiche that was delicious. We felt very safe, price was excellent and location really good. Thanks Angelo!!

Worst experience ever!! The front desk staff is rude and the bathrooms are not clean , when complained they said it was a damage to the toilet and not dirt! They did not even bother to change the room inspite of the damage! If you don’t want foreigners to visit your hotel, please do not make the reservation at all. Rather than making them feel awkward by not treating them well! Did not expect such behaviour in a hotel like Hyatt spread across the globe..
