GLō Best Western Dallas South DeSoto

This hotel is new and looks good on the surface. The check in process was slow as only one person was on duty on a Friday night. The king room was spacious and cute. Then I reached to pull a towel off the rack and the whole rack came down on one side. I was able to put it back in. ||Freeway noise is LOUD if your room is on the front facing out||Overall great place for one night stay. Just don't look to close and you will see how cheap the actual fixtures are.||UPDATE: I visited this hotel in 2024. This year, they ask to "scan" your drivers license. When I asked why.......desk clerk said "because we don't know your address if you damage something". Needless to stay at "average", I won't go back.||Of note: There is less noise on the back side of the hotel. :)

This is a great little girl right off the freeway. It was a perfect start to rest and relax during our road trip from Mexico to California. There is a hot breakfast in the morning.

As a current occupancy I can say this place is 3 stars at best and that's for the staff only. While I've been here the fire alarms have gone off three times. Once at 7 pm. Once at 3 am. And again at 4 am. All within the span of a week to a week in a half.. The breakfast is about what you expect. The fridge was completely off when I checked in, the room shows wear and tear. The biggest downside is the business center. A single computer in the lobby that DOESN'T WORK AT ALL!! won't even pop up a home page much less open the internet. The pool/hot tub/spa is luke warm and actually cut me from how rough the lining and sides of it are. I had to use a pool towel to sit down on the bench in the pool. One upside is the room IS clean. But if you want a turn down service or trash bags for your room

If you are sensitive to scents the lobby is going to knock you down. I don't know what they use to clean or scent it but it's beyond strong. During checkin I had to go back outside as I felt that I was going to pass out from the fragrance. Overall the hotel seems to be very clean. Some of the furniture is cheap so it's got wear and tear on it earlier then expected. The bed seems to be comfortable and we have not checked out the hot tub yet. If you are from the country - ask for a room away from the highway as the sound is incredibly loud. The gentleman at the front desk is kind and helpful. He helped us with a sticky situation when I could not locate my ID and we needed to update the name on the reservation to my husband. He was patient through it all.

Overall good hotel, good location, and the beds are comfy. Negatives are: The toilet paper in restroom is despicable. It’s a paper fest after using it. It’s super delicate paper. The overwhelming smell of fabuloso once you enter the building. (Good to know it’s clean but thats too much) The parking lot is in the back of building. When I stayed they didn’t allow back door entrances so I have to lug everything to the front of building to enter. Not convenient.
