Garner Hotel Decatur - Forsyth by IHG

From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the cleanliness and modern feel of the property. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and I slept peacefully each night. The front desk team was always available and happy to help with any questions. I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed for one night at Garner. The staff was wonderful, the rooms clean, and the TV was gigantic! We had breakfast, which was very good, but don't forget to turn the corner for there is more food not visible at first. The coffee is excellent. |Huge shoutout to manager Brooke for helping us with a problem on our reservation. |AND they have cookies by the front desk to welcome you. |I highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel appears to be a remodeled Country Inn (redone Summer 2025). For an older building, they did a good job of refreshing the paint, furniture and carpets, leaving the hotel feeling fresher and more modern than expected. Breakfast was included (see pics) and offered hot but basic choices (eggs, bacon, waffles, etc). The only surprise here was that it had a pool even tho it wasn't listed as an amenity by the hotel on any site we could find (IHG management - you need to update that). Would stay again, especially considering the good price.

My wife and I stayed here on our cross- country trip. We have nothing bad to say about this place! The rooms were clean, the AC worked fantastically and was very quiet. The beds were wonderful and the blankets were soft and comfortable. There was a huge thunderstorm while we stayed there and the soundproofing must be pretty good, as we didnt hear it at all after going inside for the night. Lastly, their breakfast was phenomenal. They had a reasonable selection of the usual continental breakfast foods, and the quality was well above what i'd expect from a normal hotel. The eggs and bacon crumble were both moist and fresh, and the coffee was very flavorful in a good way! My wife and I would recommend this hotel to anyone passing through Decatur.
