Comfort Inn & Suites Decatur-Forsyth

I recently stayed at Comfort Inn & Suites Decatur-Forsyth and had a genuinely pleasant experience. If you’re looking for an affordable and comfortable place to stay in the Decatur area, this hotel delivers excellent value for the price. The check-in process was quick and easy, and the staff was friendly and welcoming from the moment I arrived. They were helpful with questions about the area and made sure I had everything I needed for a smooth stay. Hotel is run down. It snowed but they did zero to clean up the parking lot. Had to switch rooms because the toilet wouldn’t flush. The key card for the 2nd room wouldn’t work. Had to get the batteries on the lock changed. The freezer in the in room refrigerator didn’t work. Asked for toilet paper to be replaced multiple times. Finally went to the store and bought my own. Breakfast was a 2 out of 10. Very limited supply. Out of everything. The manager and the person in charge of breakfast spent most of their time watching videos on their phones

I thought long and hard about giving them two stars but, hey, it’s a Comfort Inn in Forsyth Illinois. Shouldn’t expect much, right? It’s probably exactly like you expect it to be. Strange smells. Doesn’t feel clean. Very rundown and worn. But the air conditioner did what I told it to. The bed was surprisingly comfortable. And the shower had hot water. Which is more than I can say for lots of hotels I have stayed in that cost three times as much. Hence the 3 stars…

I recently stayed at this hotel and had an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive. Check-in was quick and seamless, and I immediately felt well taken care of. The room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully cleaned. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The housekeeping team did an excellent job keeping everything fresh and tidy throughout my stay. The hotel amenities were equally impressive. The fitness center was well-equipped, the pool area was clean and relaxing. Breakfast each morning offered was great. What truly stood out was the level of customer service. The room itself was nice but the shower looked like it either had mold or was dirty. The shower didn’t turn on at all (I forgot to record the video of me moving the knob every which way with no luck).my room key didn’t work at first so I went to get a new key and they said they assigned it to the wrong room or something so I just ended up getting a new room in the end. Staff was polite and quiet. Beds were comfortable. I wasn’t there very long so I don’t use any amenities aka pool, tv, or WiFi since I slept and left so I cannot comment on the quality of those.
