Four Star Motel

We stay here at least twice a year and the rooms are always clean, we see the staff cleaning every morning. The rooms are somewhat out dated but a peaceful place to stay. Great friendly staff.

My boyfriend and I stopped in St. Ignace to look for a hotel just for the night. We were driving back to Chicago from a camping trip in northern Ontario. We just wanted a clean place to rest and spend the night. We had our dog with us, so that limited our places to stay. My boyfriend went into reception and paid for a room. We drove over to the room (this is a motel), walked inside, and the first thing I saw was some black substance, like tar, all over the bedspread. The place was dark, dingy, and smelled damp, musty and moldy. The lamps were dusty and hadn't been cleaned in years! The carpet was stained and looked like it had been there for 40 years. I pulled back the sheets of the bed, and a long dark hair was stuck to the pillowcase.||We turned around, walked out and went to request our

No frills, no comps, no pool/hot tub, no breakfast. Just basic, clean hotel room. Place is clean. Owners friendly. Room Prices very reasonable. Advertised at $45 (less than a third of franchise hotels). If you don't need or use any of the "extras" of more the expensive establishments, this is the place for you.

We were just driving for the day and could t find a room. After being told down the street that there was no hotel, we decided to try a few more. This hotel was perfect. 49.00 for 3 beds and two rooms. And exhaustedly we fell asleep. You have to be out by 10 am and the shower takes a while to warm up.

I reserved 2 rooms the day of our travel. I told them it would be at least 10PM when we arrived and I gave my credit card number to hold the rooms. We ran into some delays so I pulled over at 10:20 and called to give a better estimate of our new arrival time. The man I had talked with earlier in the day said "Too bad, we rented your rooms." When I questioned him he said he'd been waiting since 6:00, he couldn't run my card without a zip code and at one point he even scolded me like I was a child and told me I shouldn't be late. When I said that he was being rude and unprofessional he hung up on me!!
