Four Points by Sheraton York

The room itself was clean and everything appeared well maintained. However, there seems to be a systemic issue with the breakfast policy that really needs attention. I booked through Booking.com and paid extra for a room that included breakfast, but when I went downstairs on Saturday, December 6th at 9:30 am, the lady at the front desk told me I had to pay for it. I showed proof on my phone and the staff member simply kept saying “No, you don’t have breakfast,” because it didn’t show on her computer with no willingness to look into it. Her only response was, “You need to figure that out with your third party.” I even had to ask her to tone down her attitude because it was becoming a bit too much, especially considering that the hotel should be trying to help, not make things harder for som

This hotel was booked for us a part of an ATi Eastern Discovery tour. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The toilet was not working properly and maintenance had it fixed in no time at all. The bedding, bed linens and towels were all lovely. The hotel is in a lovely location with a diner called Round The Clock Diner a 5 minute walk away, a restaurant called Cheddars and a Starbucks all very close by. We had a take out from the diner as we were tired. The hotel is in a quiet location and we had a great nights sleep. There is a pool which has doors to the corridor that stops the smell of chemicals getting into the corridor and the rooms. The hotel has a bar and restaurant. The reception was spotless and the ladies on duty very helpful.

Positive: Hands down the front desk staff- they were great & did best they could & thr pool Negative: The restaurant/ bar. We were there on a Saturday. The only worker was gone for so long we had to go to the front & ask. She came mad bc she was busy in back. She continued to disappear and upset everyone. All had to keep going to front desk for help.

I stayed at the Four Points by Sheraton in York, Pennsylvania, and unfortunately, it was a disappointment. The property did not meet the basic standards of quality I expect from the Marriott brand. From the peeling wallpaper to the overall griminess throughout the lobby, elevators, hallways, and even the room, it felt tired and poorly maintained. The lighting in my room was particularly poor — only two bedside lamps for the entire space, making it difficult to work comfortably at the desk. As a business traveler, I value a well-lit and inviting workspace, which this room lacked entirely. The view from my side of the building was also less than appealing, and the overall appearance didn’t resemble what the photos online suggested. I can't confidently say that I will stay here again unless I have no other choices. My first room smelled heavily of the pool chlorine, so I switched to a different room. The next room smelled fine, but everything had a "landlords special" treatment. The gaps between the trim piece seams were a centimeter in size, the veneer on the nightstand was missing, and there was no overhead lighting so the room just felt creepy. On the bright side the staff were top notch! Also the gym was great, but the bench wasn't adjustable as the nob was missing to adjust it. This made me a little nervous in thinking that the equipment isn't upkept and could be dangerous 🤷🏼‍♀️
