Folk Inn

Frontier airlines canceled our flight last minute and we needed a place to stay overnight. ||Folk is close to ONT, CA airport. Lots of places to eat in the area. Staff was kind. Price was steep, but I guess you pay what you have to under the circumstances. Room was warm and friendly. We felt safe and had a good nights sleep.||The building is falling apart. It looks like the staff is doing their best to present a nice place, but age is showing. If owner doesn’t start putting money into this property soon, it will be too late.||We would stay here again, however issues need to start being addressed. Not a 3 star hotel as advertised in current condition. Maybe 2 - 2.5 star.

They haven't updated their website in two years, so they don't have free airport transportation or the continental breakfast. The room said non-smoking, but had a strong cigarette smell inside. The upholstery on the couch was torn. The pictures are screwed unevenly in the wall and there were broken tiles in the bathroom. We did not feel safe. When we left in the morning there was dog poop in the lobby and outside the front door, which I understand is more of a resident problem but still shocking. The outside was cute and one of the employees was nice, but overall the experience was uncomfortable and disappointing.

If I could leave 10 stars I would. The staff at this hotel was kind enough to allow us to check out at a later time being sympathetic to our prior situation and having to check in at their hotel around 3:00 a.m. She was kind and patient. The rooms are big and cozy and clean and best part super quiet. It has been a long time since I have stayed at a hotel that isn’t noisy. Thank you for your great hospitality and providing kind staff and clean rooms!

Literally the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. My boyfriend and I were in town for a festival and all we wanted was a good night sleep. We paid a lot for this room and it was overpriced for ripped sheets, dirty towels, broken furniture and fan. In the hallway there are holes in the walls. They sprung a $100 deposit on us and days later have not returned it to my card. The manager is rude, unhelpful, and condescending. In the morning I went to the front desk to ask for towels she said "housekeeping will be here in an hour they'll bring more then". Housekeeping was basically a random junkie walking around knocking on doors. We were on the second floor and there wasn't a screen on the window. This place is a trash heap. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

I want to give this place 3.5 stars. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great. First the staff that we talked to all were very nice and wonderful to work with. We had issues with the room itself. An odor we had to get a glade wax melt to mask the smell it worked pretty good. Headboard was not connected Ted and moved a lot. The real issues were in the bathroom, looked like mold and a water leak we just could not find. Breakfast was enjoyable food was good and hot. The coco was outstanding which was unexpected.
