Fairmont Heritage Place - Ghirardelli Square

We visit our 2 daughters and niece in the Bay area often and so appreciate both the location and amenities of this gorgeous historic hotel. The suites offer plenty of space to host the girls (and their friends) as they all live in tiny places! We enjoyed beautiful private breakfasts in our spacious room w/ extremely attentive and friendly room service! The food was delicious, coffee abundant, and setting glorious! We've been in several suites now but the Golden Gate View suite is AMAZING (located in the tower). We did a light dinner a couple of days also which was also lovely. Can't wait to return!

We had an absolutely wonderful time again this year! Everyone was SO helpful and kind and all of our family and friends TRULY enjoyed themselves. The residences were absolutely beautiful! The front desk team couldn't have been more helpful and effortlessly checked us in. Everyone from the bellman to valets were just terrific with smiles that truly reflected the holiday season. FLAWLESS across the board!! So grateful and we'll definitely be back!!!

Fairmont at Ghiradelli has to be one of the best hotels in San Francisco. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms are first class with a lot of amenities not found in regular hotel rooms. The shared spaces and happy hour festivities are also top notch. To round it all out, the location is iconic with amazing views of the Bay as well as easy access to all that Fisherman's Wharf has to offer. I think everyone needs to stay at this hotel once, and they will understand why this is a quintessential San Francisco hotel!

The hotel is in a heritage building which is great but the furnishing etc fitted in the room are way below avg of a 4 star apartment . Especially bathroom showers pots are all like 3 star quality . On the nighg afternoon the pot flooded the entire bathroom . The staff was excellent to give us another apartment to use for toilets but with a young family and paying over 1000 dollars a night . They need more tie ups with hotels . The hotel is no way near what you pay for they need imprive their interiors by a mile if they want to charge that kind of money

The front desk person was unprofessional and was more interested in up selling then looking for guest comfort , I had to constantly remind him that I am travelling with little baby and I have requested for early check in on which he looked very disappointed but finally after an hour honoured the request as I had requested it in advance. The room had nothing working properly , the dishwasher was broken and none of the housekeeping could fix it. The cloth dryer hardly worked and the engineer accepted this is mediocre equipment , he got the dishwasher working but it stopped working next day. One of the room window blinds were not working properly. I used some of the bathroom amenities and next day housekeeping didn't bother restocking it. I have stayed in 5 star all over the world but thi
