Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Wilmington/Wrightsville Beach

Outstanding location, rooms and service!! Stayed here on 12/22 thru 12/27 with my hubby. First the amazing fragrance they had all through the lobby as you enter the hotel was breathtaking!! Chris, the general manager made us feel like we were family along with the rest of the staff. They were friendly and so professional. Honorable mention goes to Cheyeane who ensured that the continental breakfast bar exceeded our expectations. She was so warm and welcoming each morning. Then I need to mention the housekeeping supervisor Jamyia, who personally introduced herself while she was a the front desk. I was so impressed. The location is in great proximity to anything you'd want in the area. The front desk staff is great as well. While The rooms are clean My main issue is this day and age to still have small TVs when pretty much all other brands have gone to at least a 55-in blows my mind. The other problem is there's almost no control of the air conditioning system. I had to call last night and let them know that no matter what I did the room would not cool down. The woman at the front desk explained to me that I have to let them know when I check in to unlock the thermostat to give a little more control. What kind of service is that? I've never ran into that at another Marriott property or any hotel. Not only that but 67 is as low as you can turn it to.

Better than Townplace next door. Rooms haven't ben updated like many other Marriott hotels but it wasn't bad. The hot water definitely worked well. Somewhat working from the room, the best had plenty or power and space. The TV remote didnt work correctly, some buttons weren't working. This one has breakfast in tye morning and coffee available all day. I would stay here again.

Positive: Location was excellent. Negative: In my first room we had to kill a water bug in the room. We were moved to a different room but I still could not sleep comfortably because I was worried about seeing another water bug or it get to on me and my family and our clothes. Did not sleep well

Front desk agent was courteous and professional, which made the check in process smooth and pleasant. Additionally, I appreciated the overall maintenance of the building, and breakfast was satisfactory.||However, I did notice an issue with the cleanliness of the sheets and shower curtain in my room, as they had a very musty smell. This odor affected parts of the room and detracted from the overall comfort of the stay. Since I was only staying for one night, I decided not to request a room change.||Not the worst overall, but it might be worth considering other options.
