Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Wilkes-Barre Scranton

We arrived and the front staff were very friendly helped with where we should grab dinner and settle. The room for the price is pretty run down and the location is nothing like the picture. The surrounding area and hotel in front is nothing but trouble. We made our way to the lobby with friends after doing dinner separately to wind down and not disturb our neighboring rooms only to be told 3 times by someone that they close the lobby at 10 and we could not be there. The night staff were in sweats and leggings like my 15 year old daughter who I couldn't take serious enough to believe that she was telling us that we were no longer aloud to quietly converse in the common area at 10pm.... not 3 in the morning but 10 ..... I sent my daughter down for extra towels who stood at the front desk for

We stayed here as we were passing through. The check in process was fine, the building was a little older. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The shower pressure was ok, the water temperature could have been a bit warmer. |When we got back from dinner the fire alarms were on. The front desk staff were working hard to get them turned off, which took about 20 or so minutes and during this time we could not be in our rooms because of the loudness. |Bonus that they had a hot tub.

The front desk manager made our family feel quite special, she was warm & welcoming. The entire hotel was clean. Beds were quite comfortable & it was so nice to be able to open the windows! The woman who was working the breakfast area was very accommodating! She was a hard worker who kept the area very clean! I would recommend this hotel to my family & friends & I am looking forward to coming back frequently!

All of the staff were very lovely and accommodating. The only issue I had during my stay was I had to change rooms three times because the shower didn’t have hot water. Very lukewarm at best in all the rooms. I was told that plumbing was fixed the Mon after I arrived, I stayed all week for work and not once did I get a hot shower. Other than that, decent place to stay.

Quite location and good pool running just enough size gym for a 20 minutes workout , with dumbbells and bench. After a small workout i used the hot tub. Will come back again. Breakfast was good and comfortable spacing in dining area.
