Best Western Plus Wilkes Barre Center City

Myself & 2 friends were on our way to Boston, and decided to get a room at this Best Western Plus. The location is downtown, so easy access to any places in Wilkes Barre.|Our rooms were very clean & the beds comfortable for good sleeping. The included Breakfast was very good. Real Eggs instead of the normal powdered eggs at other hotels.|We chose to dine at Adelina's in the hotel. We had French Onion Soup, a house special Stromboli, and Crab Balls with Horseradish Sauce. Our meal was delicious & prepared perfectly. Our lovely server was Sherry. She was excellent & took great care of us.|A special salute to Joshua, who checked us in. He was very polite, professional, helpful & just a Gentleman. We definitely enjoyed our stay....

Positive: Free parking and functional windows Negative: The included breakfast was lackluster. Not that many choices staff hover.

My partner and I were in town for a bridal shower. It was recommended to us that we stayed here. The price was right and it was very clean. The decor was a little old fashioned, but we enjoyed the charm of that. Why gut it out and replace with white and bright? Very boring. This has some shades of wood that bring me back to childhood. We were out of toothpaste and the front desk gave us some complimentary toothpaste. Also, it came with free breakfast and it was impeccable: eggs, sausage, French toast, cereal, yogurt, orange juice, and coffee. There was even a hotel bar for a night cap, which we took advantage of the second night of our stay. Next time we’re in Wilkes Barre, we’re staying here again.

In the heart of Wilkes-Barre just a minutes walk from the square this beautiful hotel sits. From the outside it might just look like an average hotel but on the inside the staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. Their bar and restaurant are definitely not to be missed and everyone in town knows this as there are just as many pick up orders as there are guests enjoying their food! I wasnt expecting much from their pizza but was happily surprised by its perfect crust and tangy sauce. The continental breakfast is set in the restaurant serving fresh made waffles, eggs, potatoes, sausage links, and more! The next time we visit Wilkes-Barre it we will not have to question where we are staying for the visit!

Overall 5 star but hotel is a bit dated. I’ve stayed at other ones around the city and if aesthetics are your thing you may not love this hotel. But…if you’re into really great customer service (front desk attendant was so warm and welcoming), great friendly staff, and an overall clean place stay here! They had a nice big tv, comfy bed, and easy accessible parking! Location is A1 if you need to be near the city center—we’d definitely stay here again!
