Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Riverside Moreno Valley

Staying at the Fairfield Hotel for an overnight business trip. The gentlemen (African-American) I spoke with was super friendly, warm, attentive and professional. Immediately when I got off the elevator, I noticed the carpet needed to be vacuumed. Next day - -same. Unfortunately, the room was just okay. I noticed a few tiny Black bugs, but thankfully nothing bit me. A couple of the lights needed new bulbs. However, the Wifi was good. Overall, the guy at the front desk was the best part of the hotel stay.

Hotel itself is good - clean and newer. Room was a little oddly laid out, but they have extra amenities you don't normally see like a microwave in the room. Bathroom is big. Breakfast is solid - tasty and has variety. I did request a little light housekeeping which they didn't do, but at least provided a few fresh towels as requested. Location? I mean, it's in the parking lot of a grocery store (which is good and convenient!), but sort of odd. For the area it's good - there aren't many hotels in the area unless you want to go quite a bit south to Temecula (which appear to be older and more expensive) or more north to Riverside, so I suppose it's convenient. There are shops nearby like a Target, Costco, and lots of restaurants (would avoid the "mall" that appears to be on its last legs).

The bathroom in our hotel room wasn't very clean. Its hard to feel comfortable and clean in your room when the bathroom is dirty. Makes you feel gross even when you shower. Paid an extra 9 dollars for 2 free water bottles and a later check out at 1 pm. (I went through the website not a 3rd party) we didnt get any waters and when I asked about the later check out they said it was fine and they don't charge extra. Why did I pay more online then? Weird. Location has a lot of food places near by but there are alot of "tweekers" that hang out in the back parking lot. I will say that you feel safe though because you can only get in the hotel with a room key or the front desk letting you in. But still the people in the parking lot make you feel uncomfortable. I’ve stayed here many times over the last several years. The property is always clean with friendly staff. Alot of times breakfast is ready early, which I really appreciate because I get up very early for work. Shout out for consistency.
